resistor box install question. haven't seen this asked yet.
has anyone used this plug to run resistors for the dsm 450cc injectors? all this plug does is connect the 12v constant wires to the wires that run to the injectors. im not sure why honda even has ths plug their unless their is a factory resistor box that can be installed. just lookinng for pics of peoples ideas and ways they have used this plug to install resistors. im considering making a resistor block by glueing 4 10ohm/10watt resistors together and then glueing a heat sink to them and then fabricating a plug to connect them to this plug on the harnes. thanks
Ah, you're one of the lucky OBD1 people!
Here' the Cleanest way to install the resistor box.....
Use a multi-meter to trace out which of the pins in there terminate on the injectors.
Pop those 4 pins out of that connector.
Pop those 4 pins INTO the green connector of the resistor box.
Take the 5th wire of the resistor box and run a wire from there back into that grey connector
This is the cleanest way to do it IMO - I do it on every car i've installed a resistor box into because it requires NO CUTTING and uses factory connectors!
Never had an issue with any car i've done this way!

When I installed my resistor box what I did is there was a common wire that went to each injector which if I remember was yellow on black and I cut that and took each for of those and put those onto the resistor box and took that clip out and used the 12v power from it.... I cant explain it really but I tryed
