4-1 topend
4-2-1 midrange low end

I wanna get a 4-1 but people seem to be very pro+ 421 *shrug* i want top end too.

we can spare a little low end torque (well i can cause i dont have a prelude to haul around) to gain top end power. Im looking for my peak rpm is peak hp. i rev to 8500 now, and soon to 9500.
so yea

As far as I know they are terrible for All Motor. Someone (I can't remember) dynoed them and lost power.

get a DTR header. the kamakazi merges into the collector too close to the head so it doesn't flow good

SMSP and Hytech are some of the high end choices that actually fit preludes.

smsp, wont be the same in price lol bout 800 more, but they are some of the most talked bout and well spoken for header for the h22.

i would think where you want to be? setup wise? cause if your going to get a header , go all out and get a good one: smsp, hytech, 10-94 motorsport

What you purchased is a short tube 4-1, primaries are probably around 12" long. To give you an idea the JDM DC header for the B series engines have around 32-33" primaries and the OEM JDM ITR header has 31" primaries. The Kamikaze header does really well on a SC application since all you need for that is to get the exhaust out quickly and a charge will do that.

Don't believe that 4-2-1s can't make top end power and 4-1s don't make mid range. Although it's tugher to get a wide torque band with a 4-1 versus a 4-2-1. I built 5 prototypes for the H22 engine and started with a stepped 4-1. It performed well but I was able to develop a 4-2-1 that was better in the mid and top end. Plus the 4-2-1 has better ground clearance so why would you want the 4-1?

Corey Jacobs just hit the dyno yesterday with his H2 4th gen Prelude and with OEM pistons, cams, cam gears, FPR, intake manifold, CAI and aftermarket flywheel he made 204/158 SAE.

honestly i just thought 4-1 was the way to go, if i had known how good your header is, and how bad the kamikaze is, i would have purchased your first. Now i am going to be stuck with a useless header.
about the ground clearance..thats important because i have my h22 in a civic, and my current headers are flat. I would cry if i got this header and i flatened, lol
so when is the soonest i could get your header?

thats actually very very good. i've seen 200 with 15x but he was using a DFI version 6 and type S cams and i think a greddy or something header. It was all in a 2000 civic hb.
