I was thinking about buying a motor fromwww.japandomesticmotor.com but since my car only have a year left before i smog it, how do i go about registering it in CA. I drive an 96HB so I would like to know what type of things the ref looks for before they will approve your car.

Thanks for any help that you can provide, I just wanted to see what I am getting my self into.

 

i live in the 209 area and you can get your motor ref'd over here at a place called "CBI" (custom built imports) for 250 and they will give you the sticker and everything...give them a call if you need any questions...209-933-9371 ask for chuck

 

Do a search under "smog" and you will find 5 pages worth of material under "archived topics" and a lot of topics under "recent" topics as well.
