UPDATE: Pics of the grill painted black are at the bottom of this post...
for those who wanted to see how the new door skin came out...here are the pics...
after the new door skin was on and the body work was done, we had to water sand. I didn't take too many pictures of this because I didn't want to mess up my camera...
Ok, now the good stuff...
Putting on the first coat of base...
Then the clear...
and TADA!!!

I hate the color red. Yes, I drive a red 93 hatch that needs a paintjob. I can't pass judgement until I see the grilles painted black, but the quality of the painting looks top notch

dam that car is hella bright!
Cheers to a fellow milano red hatchback! Stock color rocks!
(Its quite a bit brighter then I originally thought) Looks really good though.

the other paint job was really bad quality. here's proof, it was gold, and you thought it was white. that's how bad the paint job was...
I think they did 2 coats of base and clear. I wasn't there, I had the body guy take those pics because I was in class...
My friend, the guy that did the body work, works at the shop, so he hooked me up. $500 labor, and cost of paint and supplied. The body shop owner sold me the paint at his cost. So altogether it was $950

When i was picking the paint color. They had 4 different shades of honda milano red, I picked the darkest one...so it's actually darker, but I think the clear makes it look brighter...I don't know, I love it though

I just wanted the black moldings for some reason, I thought it would set it off kinda...I'm glad I did it, I like it alot. Also, I never liked black mirrors on a civic unless they were spoon or spoon style mirrors. So, I just stayed with what I liked...

BAD PAINT MAN! BAD PAINT MAN!
That is an incorrect painting technique... You always want the gun perpendicular to the surface... otherwise you get heavy spots & runs...
paint looks pretty good... looks heavy on the clear...
How did they mold the lip? Hopefully not bondo...
And I think it will look better with the black grilles... Also, WHY DO PEOPLE INSIST ON LEAVING THE BLACK MOLDINGS!?!!?
