for some reason out of nowhere, my cd player shut off in the middle of a song... the cd player has no ilumination, no sound, but it does take in and spit out the cd... any ideas? also, how do i get the plastic centerconsle out so i can get my cd player out?

The cutting out problem sounds like its losing its acc. power, with some HUs you can still load and eject a disk evan if the acc. is off. 94

 

its a kenwood, but i guess i got it working again, i pulled out a few fuses, and some how its working again... no fuses were even blown... wierd, ohwell, thanks for the help

 

well, after looking at the website you posted... i dont think i will ever do any work with the headunit of this car... ever... so much more work than i figured. it was a lot easier in the corolla, haha
