Default Honorary member of the EVIL DOHC family goes 14.4 @ 93 mph

1998 Acura Integra GSR, full leather, ac, ps, no weight reduction.
Mods are: I/H/axle back/FPR/VAFC/Skunk Manifold/ACT clutch/BF Drag Radials.
This sunday at island went 14.4 @ 93. I gotta give credit to somebody that races their car even if their rear engine mount is broken and you can move your motor with one hand , also the car was running in limp mode hence the mph drop top end. Once this car is fully tuned, with a solid mount, no limp mode and set up, will go high 13's without slicks.

Here is the slip and pic of the vehicle:

Comments and questions are all welcome....

EVIL

good 60 footer. well done. May I ask what your vtec engagement is at? I jsut installed my VAFC and it had the best times (40-60 and 50-70, 60-80) at 5k and 5.5k. I have i/e/vafc/fpr right now - bone stock i did 15.4 Im hoping for 14's... but im dead nutz in 3rd/4th with my friends gsx and i know he has .5 a sec on me cuz of awd launch. Ok i def. went overboard in this post.

The ECU throws the car into limp mode if a serious CEL is thrown... If you were in limp mode, fuel cut is set to 3k rpm, and the car resets to a backup fuel/ignition map until the code is fixed. It's Honda (and any modern car manufacturer's) idiot-insurance... If something goes seriously wrong with the engine, it keeps you from damaging it more until you can putt the car along to safety.

If you were in limp mode, you wouldn't break 3,000. If VTEC was disabled, you wouldn't break ~6,000 or so, and the VTEC lobes wouldn't engage. If your VTEC wasn't engaging, which it what it sounds like, I'd have trouble imagining you breaking 16's. You sure?

Looking at this again....I don't have a GSR myself, but I know what they run, and an I/H/E GSR should run high 14's....stock run very high 14's with a good driver. VAFC shouldn't do much at all, and a Skunk2 would probably hurt you more than help with those mods... You have to have more mods...that's a really good time for those mods.

I would suggest you get the car tunned. You ran 14.9 @ what mph? The mph tells you the power of the car.

There is a few diff. limp modes, depending on what sensor is at fault. His vtec was turning on but he was running on back up maps and fuel curve.

I have ran 14.1 @ 94 in my gsr on slicks with only a homemade intake and a type r muffler. I already had a thread about this like 3 years back. If you drive your *** off you will see a big improvement. Look at the mph its not even all that high, it was the driving that got crazzy' gsr into the low 14's.
