i never see anymore fast all motor integras GSR's.i never see low 13's or 12's 1/4 miles much. are they too heavy? everyones just swapping our motors into hatch backs and ****. im starting to feel that force induction is the only way out. is there anyone on here that can assure me the potential of the b18c integras or am i doomed to defeat by civics??
i believe the integra chassis is a little more rigid than the civic... make use of that advantage and use it at the track, as opposed to the strip.
otherwise... i don't see our integras having a single inherent advantage over say an EG civic, in terms of drag racing

ok well thats not too bad, considering i wanna do racing that involves handling. but quarter mile always sums up a descent car. theres gotta be at least a few tegs on here that will show them civics up... i hope...

then you have the track, need a fast car AND fast driver

If you really want to put your money into it then you could land low 13's or high 12's. But its not going to be easy going all motor. Im in the all motor route and wouldn't do anything else. Im going to the track in a few weeks and I am expecting a 13 sec. timeslip all motor. Not low 13's though. I only have ITR cams though so upgrading them would help me out a lot.
You could also strip the car and make it for drag racing purposes. Then, you could definately get a low 13/high 12. Anything is possible if you work at it and understand your car. If you get the right parts that all work together then you can do it. Goodluck and don't give up on your teg

F I if you want to run a few seconds faster and have a bit more fun than stock. Otherwise, i'd just recommend getting a more powerful car with better handling abilities.
These days, i see no point in trying to make our cars faster nor better than whats on the performance car market today. My car is a 95 LS and my friend at the acura dealership always joke about boosting it for kicks. All the guys in his shop have SC, NOs or some form of Boost on their own cars. Honestly, these cars are great as they are. I get fantastic mileage and they are fun to drive here and there. I dont try to see it as a Porsche 911 Turbo or 350Z, both of which i thoroughly enjoyed having for weeks at a time. Anyways, i'd say let the engine swapped econo cars have bragging rights down the strip. I just dont care to compete with the kids with the bees in the can exhausts. They will never understand or relate to refinement and true performance.
Probably said too much but its just my two bits...
Have a good weekend all. Cheers

You gotta be kidding me. I had a jun setup in my integra that I recently sold and that will no way compete with a v8 domestic unless it was stock.

Its really difficult to run nitrous on a well done N/A car without detonating and blowing the whole thing up. I think low 13's is a good goal for an NA, daily driven integra. And it is completely attainable.

if you build a quality all motor than you can still go FI or nitrous, or both and you don't have to build the motor for it cause its done. All motor engines can handle anything, they may not be the fastest on there own but it gives more potential for the lackiing non-vtec.

I will be hitting the track sometime this month. In search for my 13 sec. timeslip. Im in the middle of getting some rota's/falkens. Once I get those ill be going to the track. I plan on going to Import Wars at the end of the month. But I also want to go on a friday night. Just message me when your available to go and ill let you know whats going on, maybe we can meet up at the track.

Don't underestimate the B18C. They're great motor with great potential. I have a GSR coupe myself and would like to get it into mid 13s or high 12s. Well, that's my projection at least... for a street car. I think it's reasonable.
Honda never believed in turbos or superchargers for their engine to make power. Why should you? It's just more fun/harder extracting power from a 4 banger NATURALLY.
Until then, don't give up on your Geezor! Those civics are swapping out their motor for our GSRS!!! Think about it. AND good luck patdemps. Hopefully you'll see the 13s. I'll be right behind you!

To me it boils down to this...I want a car that is somewhat quick..but at the same time I dont want a car that looks like sh*t, that's why I stay away from the crapbacks......the integra is pretty quick...AND it looks beautiful; especially dropped with an OEM kit.............
you shouldn't even own a gsr for being discouraged and doubting the B18C

define quick? QUICK in straight line acceleration or QUICK in twisties or BOTH?
indeed the Integra is quick but I would not say that they are sports cars [GSRs, Type-R] like how Insurance companies labels it...its unfortunate to say but we drive econoboxes. perhaps nice econoboxes.
OH and once you cross the FI side... you will see your gas mileage flush down the toilet....b00st is evil
heck...all motor cars are yummy too!

have you driven a decent all motor car? If you are truely passionate about it, find someone that has a quick little N/A honda.
My car (check sig) is in the low 14 almost 13s right now. It's pretty quick. I can beat my friends bone stock Type R by about 4-5 car lenghts. If I end up keeping her she'll be getting some cams and such soon.
But I'll tell you this. There is nothing like owning a boosted car, have the guy ask you what kind of turbo setup you run, then watch his face when you tell him you roll N/A.
priceless...

N/A isnt worth the costs involved if you are just trying to go fast. A turbo has unlimited potential, and once you have it, it is VERY easy to see HUGE HP gains by just adding either more cooling, more fuel, or better engine internals so that you can run more boost. Getting an all motor car into low times costs insane amounts of money and after a certain point, you endup paying huge amounts of money for things that barely help much at all. Plus, its a 1.8L engine and as they say, theres no replacement for displacement, and 1.8 L is always gona be 1.8 L (for the most part)

civics are always going to fasters then integra just because its lighter and nothing is ever going to change that.

i'll go against any STOCK USDM civic [exclude 99+ si]...if you bet your house on the civic, you'd be homeless
