how good does the skunk2 intake manifold work with a turbo? it adds the lil extra hp right? or is it worthless?

I think it'll def help on any application. Your giving the engine more room to breathe, thats what you want for boost. Just look at the c-speed racing integra. You will make more hp at the same psi, although you could possibly lose power somewhere in the rpm range, but nothing too significant that would justify not getting it.

Skunk 2 has good low and mid torque characteristics. Perfect for the street and probably better for racing than all the short runner aftermarket manifolds. Go for it!

one member here made about 15hp with the addition of a spunk2 manifold. It works...and I have one ready for my car.

We have a dyno comparison of the OEM GSR in. manifold VS the Skunk2 on our Project Integra. We gained GOBS of midrange TQ with only the addition of the S2 manifold and tuning.

Look here:

here's the dyno chart G3 was speaking of. Notice the midrange gain with the red graph(skunk2) over the blue graph(stock GSR)

i made fantastic gains with this manifold. my car is n/a btw and i got increases of about 15 in the midrange. I have a graph i can email ya. to get to work even better you can polish and smooth the inside or get it extrude honed. As is its a great buy for like 300 .

I have it on my turbo GSR. Altough I do not have any numbers to back it up...it was a good increase from what I could feel...defiantly worth the money...but it's worth even more if you add a bigger TB to go with it.

I talked to Skunk2 right before the purchase...and he guranteed me that with the mani and a bigger TB I would see 25hp to the wheels...sure does feel like alot and thats without a TB!

you gain more torque... but if you noticed... you lose 4-5 horsepower on max power...

but who cares about max power rite? the more torque you got, the better pull to get passed the other cars...

im pretty sure that loss of 4-5 horsepower is nothing compared to the 15+ hp torque gain.

You can't be more right.. we traded 6-7whp for 15lbs of TQ. Definately worth it. You drive TQ not HP.
