I have a '92 si hatchback (d16z6) and we were on a road trip and my car was on cruise control at 70 mph. All of a sudden i go to accelerate some and i have no acceleration i go down to 4th gear and have no acceleration. The car dies and then i pull over to the side of the road and the car wont start back up..There is like a dark blueish type of spark and all it does is crank...people have told me about the Ignitor and we dont know if its bad or not...all though the little spring on the dist cap was all bent up when we took it off to check...we got to get my car moving within the next 2 days someone please help us....btw: were gettin fuel

Ignitor is fairly easy to test, you just need a multimeter and a manual for the specs. It could be the coil as well, you can test the resistance to make sure its in spec. ECU can also cause this if it fails but its unlikely. When my ignitor went it kept cutting out now and again, it didn't just go bang and stop working. I don't know what the spring does, does it earth a lining in the wire or something? anyway i'd fix it...
odds are its eithre the cap, rotor or igniter.
if you can get another d series distributor you can just swap them and check.
cap and rotor are cheap to replace.

lets look at the more ovbious now
spark plug wires.
make sure all are properly seated on the spark plugs AND distributor. that last statment makes it sound like you are running on 3 cylinders

good to hear its all sorted... my ICM first went bad when i was overtaking someone..the whole thing just cut out and I had to pull back...! Just as a tip its always worth sticking the ICM screws with locktite just incase they vibrate free and you should always use some silicone grease to help heat dissapation...it's not essential but its always a good idea...
