Default In over my head? You decide!

Hi everyone!

Never really posted in the appearance forum, but wasn't really sure if this didn't belong in the TECH section or what. Just thought I'd share in a fun pictorial the fun I'm having with my car with you all... I sill haven't decided whether or not I'm actaully taking on too much, as I'm doing everything ALL at ONCE. I've resorted to semi-officially naming my project "Codename: BB4-T". I thought I'd give my car a new demeanor or two... It started out as a pretty banged up beater, then six months worth of massaging, bondo, and paint still left me wanting more... more POWER! Here's a few teaser pics of what's all going on, in, and around my car. Hopefully, I'll be done with everything before the end of the year!!!

My lovely 92 Prelude Si (after the body-work, paint and 5-spd conversion):

First thing's first... OUT with the H23A...

...and REPLACE with the GE Re-Sleeved H22A!

Beef it up with this...

...AND this...

...so it can handle THIS!!!

Put the power TO the ground with this...

...and this!

Now, how do I get THAT in there?!?!

Heres a bit of the action...

...and here's another!

That's all I have for now... Just sitting around bored with absolutely NOTHING to do... hehehe The RHD swap is nearly complete. I'm in the process of swapping firewalls... the final task, assuming everything fits back together, will be rewiring the cabin and engine bay looms.

Thanks for reading and thanks for your time!!!

Dan P.

the car doesn't look too bad.

and holy **** you've spent some LONG hours on that car i can tell. That thing should really scream. Lots of go and lots of show. what more could you ask for? and that RHD conversion is pretty slick.

nice car

All I can say is HOLY **** MANG!!!

I don't really see the point of all the work for the RHD conversion, but to each his own.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!

HXMan,

You're right... it's NOT really worth all the time and agravation for most people. However, it started out of bordom and I have the facilities, the tools, and most importantly, the time TO do it. So far, it's been pretty fun... and interresting... and frustrating... and...well, you know!

Thanks again for the comments!

Dan Norton,

It's funny that you ask about the wheels, AS THEY ARE FOR SALE!

The wheels are a ALT series wheel. They are 17x7, with a universal 4-lug bolt pattern. They are wrapped in a set of FALKEN AZENIS tires... letting them go cheap. Gonna go with a set of TE-37's in Bronze.

Thanks again for the comments!

Nice engine but I really don't understand why someone would waste their time and money to convert to RHD... I'm 21, almost 22, and I have been driving stick since I was 12 - I'm so used to shifting with my left that I think it would be nothing short of retarded to start shifting with my right.

but its your car so....whatever tickles your pickle.

btw: How much did you pay for your paint?

Remove the Wing..Put all your GO parts in, and your car will be pretty Clean. Finally Someone who kinda knows how to build a motor.

Carlo,

I had the paint done by a local paint guy, that races Pro-Stock drag cars... It took him several months to get it all done, but the job is flawless... I paid $3000 for the paint job. Not even comparable to the $500 I paid for the CAR ITSELF!!!

1option,

I kinda agree with your assessment of the "BIG WING" debate. However, the car seems too plain with out a wing, and the one on there came free with the WW kit on the car. The sock one was pretty damaged and beyond repair. I just thought I'd make it work... and it kinda does for me. You DO have to give me credit on ONE thing, though... at least it's not an aluminium picnic table!!!

As far as the engine build goes, theres still a lot that IS built, and a lot that still NEEDS building. The head is PP'd by endyne and I'm going with a crower valve train, GE cam gears and intake mani, and a couple of other goodies...

I'm just taking my time and doing everything the RIGHT way.

Thanks again for the comments!!!
