VIS makes a cf tailgate for 92-95 hatches. I got mine from Access Motors in Signal Hill CA. It's a direct replacement, retains factory hardware/locks, and accepts the plastic interior panel. Weighs about 5lbs.

Not sure what they're being sold for. I would imagine something close to what hoods go for, maybe around $400.

I have yet to see one in person! I think the backyard piece is like $800 in the states
so vis might be a good alternative.
I hear arospeed or apc is making them now to

I think the stock one is about 30lbs, give or take, so yeah, over 20lbs in weight savings.

Again, I'm not sure the exact amount, but I've heard they're around 4-450.

Yeah, fitment is pretty good. I had to widen a few holes with a Dremmel, but over all I was pleased. It even had the holes for the factory plastic panel inside the hatch.

there it is...
i was there when rodrez installed his, very light weight and well constructed. like he mentioned, it even has the tabs so you can use the factory cover for the tailgate, so it's really clean looking on the inside as well.

Does the VIS fit well? I got a duckbill wing and it sucks ***. Is it strong as well? I guess you don't sit on you tailgate.
