anyone familiar with rear camber?
I got a questions for you autox guys. How does positive camber adjustment in the rear affect the toe? I have never heard of any info on the subject, but i assume it must change the toe.... anyone?
Did you adjust your rear toe when you lowered your car? You will acquire very little toe in on the rear if you lower the car with in reason, as a result of rear suspension mounting points and geometry. You can usually adjust the rear camber through 1.5 to 1.75 degrees before you will see any appreciable change in toe. If you reduce the camber, or add positive camber you will acquire toe out.
I guess the real question you are asking is how does camber effect toe. The answer is its suspension dependendent. But as a rule camber by itself should have no effect on toe. Camber induced by change of ride height may have an effect on toe.
Here is my scenario (same as most lowered cars):
i lowered my car, and have used a camber kit to correct some of the negative camber which resulted. I know when i did the front, the toe was way out of wack. But in the back, i havnt had it checked. i'm thinking that if the front was affected that much, than surely the back must be as well. I just cant find any info about the rear.

Like I said if you did not change the camber more than 1.75 degrees your toe did not change. Get some string and jack stands and check it if you don't want to listen to me. Make a perfect square around all four wheels with the string tied to the tops of the jack stands and measure the distance from the string at the front of your wheel and at the back of the wheel very simple and accurate enough.
