question...is there something special about a gen 1 mugen tower bar? those look the ones that kingmotorsports sells for 285 a piece reg price.
The gen 1 mugen rear bar is a 2 piece design, typically stronger than a 1 piece. (more rigid)
The gen 1 mugen front bar bolts to more than just two places on each side. The gen 2 bolts to the 2 stock bar locations on each side, the gen 1 does this PLUS i think 2 other locations closer to the shock tower itself.
You never see a gen 1 front bar for sale.... rarely a rear one either.

Yup, what Chris said.
One of the following people will enjoy gen 1 strut bars.
1. JDM lovers/ extra show points.
2. People who want the extra mounting points for a bit more chassis firmness. Especially true, if you're running a gen1 rear bar on an EK. (EG & DC2 don't benefit from gen1 rear bar).

Bars will also fit 92-97 Del Sols. Yes, they're basically Civics. However, some people may not consider them as such.
