Default what is the best swap for an accord?

I drive a civic. an buddy of mine has a accord and wants to do a swap. he asked me what swap he should do in an accord. my first thought was an h22.

but I haven't done any research on accords so I don't know what you need to do all the different swaps.

my ignorance has sparked my curiosity!! so what swaps can you do? and what does it take to do them? general cost? what you need to do the swap (example wen you do an h22 into a civic you need new mounts 97 accord Axel's just stuff like that!!!!

thank for you knowledge!!!!!!!!!

THe best swap for an Accord is the H22! For motor mounts, you can use all the Accord mounts except for the driver's side which will need to be the prelude's. For axles, you can use the Accord's - they will fit perfectly!

h22 is the best swap for accord.

why don't your friend just turbo his f22b (i suppose that's the eng now).. that's much more fun..

wow so I was right h22 hands down!!! it seams like a good swap for the accord I didn't think there was a hole lot to the swap. I thought it was a bolt up swap and that is what it sounds like!!

what about wiring? is there anything special you have to do? (example an h22 swap into an eg you have to extend some wires for some censers)

is there anything like that with the accord?

thank for you help!!!

yeah a few sensors have to be rewired just to lengthen them.. thats bout it, its a direct bolt in and even f/h series tranny's bolt up

pretty damm simple if you ask me.. but thats the best thing to go with..

or go straight to h22a.org rather than a repost of the original page...

many times repost are helpful, since they have been corrected/or made easier to follow:

I know i had a hard time with some sites and had to go to a repost, cause someone broke it down for you...

.02 cents

So should I follow up v4lu3s' post with one telling him to also go to h22a.org?

Might as well beat it into his head twice!

i dont think this is true about the axles i had to interchange mine with the prelude i mixed n matched the prelude and accord to fit and the only other problem that i can think of when doing this swap is the powersteering but thats easily done all you need is a 97 prelude bracket

Why? There is no point. I've been using my Accord axles for almost 3 years with no problems. It's much easier than piecing axles together.

turbo hands down....i built my own kit for under a grand....and would own a h22 accord with no mods.... plus the f series are getting more and more aftermarket support...and the motors are cheaper to replace....seen them go for 400 for good motors in junkyards

what are the benefits to using the h22 or h23 tranny? Are they six speed? Shorter gears? Stronger?

Best swap is def the h22. But I wanted something more exciting and with more power. So I did a F23 turbo. Putting down 246 hp 245 Tq to the wheels at 9 psi. Man its a fun car! Gotta love the f23.

go h22... can't go wrong with that, but i had a dream last night that i saw an accord with a viper v10 in there... but anyway, for the other people who might know, i have a 2002 accord with 15k miles on it, would anyone know where i could maybe get a good deal on swapping my engine in for a jdm h22? i figure i have a brand new f23 so maybe i could give some people my motor for a h22... thanx

get a friend in the prelude forum..get to know him and gain his trust..it's best to live close to his house too..take him to the canyan and bet him 10 buck your f23 will beat his h22a, and when his car gets infront of you, you give him a little bump----------------------->and see him go down the canyan.
remember to bring ropes, flash lights, and motor hrost to pick up the h22a..offer your friends a lift to hospital for 100bucks..perfect plan huh?

lol
