Finally somebody has pushed a D quicker than Whitfield.He has been the record holder since 1999!...Congrats to Sean Devine for running a 10.22@139 with his D16! .01 aint much but he still broke it.... It looks like he's gonna be the 1st D to break the 9s so if anyone else out there is dreaming of doing this..You better get off your *** and do it soon

when the car went 10.22 he was making 412 hp and 302 ft/lbs of torque
he then got the car up 437 hp, and 326 ft/lbs
He has since put larger injectors in to try to get rid of a leaning problem, and the ower is down a bit, until they get it back on the dyno.

No....just heard that from a friend goes by the name Hurrikain. He's pretty knowlegeable, he said that at the time he made that run Jason was producing 451WHP. I just wanted to see if anyone else heard the same.

hmm,I know James West produced exactly 451whp at one time,I got his dyno graph on my specs page so maybe Hurrikain getting confused with him..What I know of Jasons 1.5L was that he was making 380whp before he pressed the juice button on his direct port set-up which was adding 100 or so HP on top of that 380.

i thought Sav was runnin like 9.80's or so with his SOHC. i'm pretty sure he was because he would always qualify in the pro class with it. so i definitly think Sav holds the record for SOHC boosted performance.

Nope..only broke 9s with a Dohc,Im gonna shoot Sav an IM to get him to post his exact sohc ET over here so we get the facts straight,Im 99.9% sure he was stuck in the Hi 10s with his sohc..Savs HT name is Quick1723

good times, BUT...lets look at this here...jason ran those times almost 4 years ago..no wheelie bars. with a non vtec 1.5 liter..and 24.5 inch slicks no 26 by whatever tires those are. and who cares that its not a crx....its just as easy to make an eg just as light if not lighter. have a nice day

Nobody told him NOT to run wheelie bars,that was his choice and loss.He did that cause he wanted to be the 1st Honda to run 9s without wheelie bars but he failed in that mission

Its started out as a non vtec but later on I did see a vtec head on it and NOBODY can say for sure if it was really a 1.5L except jason although .1L wont make much of a diff and it does have a better rod/stroke ratio than the 1.6

lol a crx is overall smaller with a shorter wheelbase,its NOT just as easy to make as light or lighter..have a nice night...

Jason gets props from me...his car ran low 10s back in the day. What people forget is technology has come along way since then. I dont think Jason failed because he has held that tile for years and that in itself is an acomplishment; true he didnt run 9s, but who knows what could have happend. Dont get me wrong, kudos to this guy who broke the record!

Nobody is knocking Jasons car,That car set the bar for other D owners to shoot for way back and dont forget,not even Jason could top that time as he did own and race that car for several years after he did the 10.23 until he sold it last year,so the technology was availible to him.
