Default Initial timing on Mini-me

Any suggestions or recommendations to setting the timing after installing the head?

Or any other things I will need to do before starting the car?

The Z6 head has an adjustable cam gear, I forget which one will need to go home and look at it if anyone needs to know.

Thanks

since the Z6 head will be half a tooth off in the timing,
make sure u got that cam gear on 4.75 degrees advanced... that way u will actually have it on 0 cam degrees

right now mine is advanced 5 degrees. thats not the most powerfull position for sure but it runs and drives normally. i have a 1.5 block and a z6 head. it also has an aftermarket cam though but it should be around the same for you.

it should have marks. but to advance turn the crank clock wise and to retard turn the crank counter clockwise. it seems wierd but trust me youll see why its like that.

Which bolt does everyone use for the distributor? Top, right or left? I have mine in the one closest to the front of the car(right one). I am planning OBD1 here in a little bit, hopefully as soon as I can find a P28 ECU for around 100 bucks(anyone have one, hit me up).
