Its been a while since Ive had a check valve in the brake booster line... which way does the valve flow? Should I be able to suck air out of the intake mani, or blow air into the manifold?

the only reason I ask is because... before I took it off, when I was in boost and pressed on the brake pedal it was a bit tough to get it to go down, until the boost went to vac.

so.. im just a lil confused as to which way it faces

 

Arrow on the valve points towards the IM.
