The How to on Gsr cluster into a civic (95)
Sorry, no pictures of the install process, but all the others on this site about installing an integra cluster into a civic are correct. I went 1 step above, and put in a new clear plastic piece (avaliable at lowes).
here is how it turned out... I fixed the ripple on the top right side too (moved it over to the right a little)
You cannot see behind the cluster in any direction.
To solve this problem, you need somethink that fills the space.
I had some abs plastic that i bent and trimmed to fill the gap at the bottom and sides. To get the plexiglass on , i ran a bead of cauk (sp) around the shaped glasses to hold it to the civic's cluster bezil. Then after measuring the hole for the mileage reset, i drilled it, and put an extension on it (last picture, extension = black bic mechanical pensil).
Not to bragg or anything, but i think this may be the best cluster install that i have seen in a civic. I had to have it looking stock becasue it would bug the crap out of me if it didnt. To get it this was was very dificult (took longer to put the cluster in than the engine). If you really got to have this type of thing, then do it right, but if i had the knowledge now going into it, i would have just bought a ex/si cluster and called it a day. However my hard work payed off, and i guess i will leave it like this for a while
Feel free to coment.

Re: The How to on Gsr cluster into a civic (NA gs-R 05 C)
you had to use the integ harness and cut/re-wire the whole setup right? nicest conversion i have seen. kinda makes me want to have the gsr cluster in and toss the old looking ex/si one...

Re: The How to on Gsr cluster into a civic (skribblah)
thanks guys
as far as wiring, it was straight forward using this chart
(do not go by colors, go by the locations)
I used a 2001 integra harness on a 96 integra cluster
Most of the colors matched, but not all
All of the locations were correct though
teg's blue left side plug (13 pins)
1. blu tach signal
2. grn/org check engine indicator
3. yel/red oil pressure switch
4. NOT USED NOT USED
5. wht/blu charge indicator
6. NOT USED NOT USED
7. yel/grn coolant temp
8. blk ground
9. red/blu cruise (if you have cruise)
10. yel hot
11. NOT USED NOT USED
12. pink maintenance (not used)
13. NOT USED NOT USED
teg's right side blue plug (16 pins)
1. grn/red e.brake signal
2. red/grn high beam
3. grn/yel right turn
4. grn/blu left turn
5. NOT USED NOT USED
6. blk/yel power
7. red/blk power
8. red power
9. blu/red abs (not used)
10. grn trunk switch
11. org vehicle speed sensor
12. NOT USED NOT USED
13. blu/wht low fuel (not used, cant be used w/ out integra gastank and sensor)
14. yel/wht fuel gauge
15. lt grn/red door switch (not used, can be used w/ extra wiring to the doorpins)
16. red/blu seat belt
civic's left side grey plug (12 pins)
1. yel/wht fuel gauge
2. yel/blu vehicle speed sensor
3. grn/yel right turn
4. grn/blu left turn
5. wht/blu charge
6. yel/red oil pressure switch
7. NOT USED NOT USED
8. blu tach signal
9. NOT USED NOT USED
10. blk/yel power
11. red/blk power
12. red power
civic's right side grey plug (10 pins)
1. red/grn high beam indicator
2. grn/red e brake signal
3. NOT USED NOT USED
4. NOT USED NOT USED
5. grn/org check engine indicator
6. blk ground
7. yel/grn coolant temp
8. yel hot
9. grn trunk switch
10. blu/wht seat belt
Once againg, being picky about the details, i soldered all the connections, taking more time, but i dont have to worry about something coming loose

haha love the bic pencil i would have never thought of that. fill some black silicone or something in the end so it doesnt look like a hole. awesome how did you mount it? custom brackets?
