obd2 and afc hack
just made some startling discoveries...
1. hondata cannot be installed on 98-02 4cyl 5spd accords...why? because IAC has 3 wires coming out instead of 2... well, that's what inlinepro suggested when i was there for hondata installation... so, hondata now has been eliminated from my setup...
2. after i got the car back from inline, even though nothing was done, the car ran like a freaking champ...no bogging/limp mode after 3500rpm, the car just cleanly pulled and pulled some more...also, i did not notice any CEL even though i was hitting 8psi of boost...
3. this morning, when i turned the engine on, CEL immediately came on...meaning that it was prolly reading the code from yesterday's driving.... since i haven't driven anywhere since coming back from inlinepro yesterday... this leads me to believe that odb2 maybe the culprit for all my problems?
in case you guys don't remember:
when i went to get the car tuned, the tuner reported that after each run, car would react differently to changes in vafc, and also that his settings in vafc almost had no effect on the wideband reading...
so now i'm thinking, maybe ecu's trying to compensate for the boost, but since i'm running the afc hack, it prolly still thinks that i'm running stock injectors (now 450cc), and vafc is set at -39%, it may be trying to add fuel, which may have led to severe bogging/limp mode issue...
now i gotta go search everything about obd2...it would be great if someone can throw me some good links...thanks!

if you're running the AFC hack you shouldn't be getting a code for MAP sensor reading boost cause the larger injectors with the afc are supposed to accomodate for that. What code does it throw?
ok, i just sneaked out of work to check the code...
it's throwing IAC valve system fault? now this is totally unexpected, because i was expecting something else other than this...
i might have to give inline pro a call since they played with the IAC yesterday...=T

you can't...
even hondata tech said it is possible, but as i found out, 6th gen accords come with 3 wire IAC. hondata (chipped p28 in my case) can't deal with it unless it's 2 wire IAC. at least that what the shop told me. after they installed it, the car would idle at 2000rpm and they could not get the car to idle correctly. they suspect IAC setup's difference may be the culprit. good luck.
