Kurt sold his race car. I assume he is still building motors and tuning, etc.

Kurt is a kool guy. He built my bottom end, ported my head & gave me great deals on parts for my motor.
About his red civic...I believe he still has it and is in the process of selling it. Unless he just sold it. Abyhow...he is a kool cat!

To me, his car was more impressive back in the day running 11's on nos than the ten second turbo cars. It inspired me to do the same. When I worked at the honda dealer he would pick up parts in his civic. He would tell all of the v8 parts guys that his civic ran 11's and then point at his stock looking hatch outside.

hahaha!!!! KG is the best at what... ******* **** up. I've tried callin his shop for three months straight, nobody ever answered the phone or returned my calls. Thank God because I heard so much about his real precision engineering!!! haha I had someone else do my car, works great so far. My friend called me from Reno, (no names here) he left his car with Kurt for over a year to have it fully built and tuned dfi system. He brought it back to reno and two weeks later he blew it at 15 pounds of boost!!! Fully built, sleeved and all. Real nice tune job and workmanship by KG. That is just one of many horror stories i've heard. Glad i didn't go there.

Yeah whatever guy, I saw the pistons out of J's (protecting identity) prelude I've never seen crowers bent like that unless they were hydrolocked or compressed full of coolant from blown head gasket. I think he drove it after blowing his head gasket you can't blame tuning or workmanship for that. I've meet J at KG and he seems like a good guy but you are not speaking on his behalf. Anyways what's your beef with KG obviously you needed something, calling shop for 3 months? Get real Kurt has been building and tuning cars for a decade. And yes he built my car and is working on my new motor right now, Kurt is a good guy and friend. Don't diss a guy because he was'nt available to you, don't hate.

I guess he must have all you guys fooled. In case you didn't know anything about tuning, head gaskets don't blow by themselves. Head gaskets blow by
1. detonation
2. improper decking of the block
3. improper tuning or lean condition
These are all causes of a motor to hydro-lock or head gasket failure. Looks to me like improper tuning; not the customer's fault. Glad is was him, not me. Saved me a lot of money. You would think that decades of experience wouldn't result in a blown head gasket. I wouldn't trust him to tune my lawn mower!!!

Well a freind of mine sent him a ZC head a couple years ago. After a 6 months wait and numurous calls with Kurt saying he had not gotten to it yet on the second to last call Kurt said he could not find the head and that it had been stolen and my friend was shitoutta luck. My friend called a lawer and with the last call threating to sue his ***, Kurt finally sent his head.
Now that he has the head, I gotta say his is one of the fastest zc's I ever heard of. Still running stock bottom end and will prolly break 12's soon if he steps up to a 75 shot instead of the 65 he is running. So the head work is done right. That being 12's in CO over 5700 feet or so
Buinsess ethics horrible
Head work very good.
