A little help please... I'm heading by myself to Lowe's this weekend to flag @ Hyperfest, but I'm not taking a car to drive on the track. I'll be stuck in Richmond until ~2pm on Friday and can leave anytime thereafter. If possible, because I am broke at the moment, I'm looking for one of three things:

1) A ride with someone else from Richmond to Charlotte and back, in exchange for gas money food beers etc

or

2) Some people to ride with me from Richmond to Charlotte and back (in my Cherokee with cold ac and decent stereo) and help with gas money food beers etc

or

3) A caravan to get into from here, with participants from points north or east passing thru etc, to show me how the hell to get there, I haven't been in many years...

The I-40/I-85 section from Burlington to Greensboro will be congested... just a fyi (like I sent via IM).

I would make my way over and hit Rt. 29 Souf.

Jon, we are leaving at about 1:00 or 1:30 from Culpeper and heading down 29 south the whole way. I do not know if we have a caravan or not. Corey and I will be in his truck and it only has 2 seats.

That's why the smarter ones of us took Friday off, oh and Monday too. 4 day weekend this weekend, 3 day weekend next weekend (which I'll probably extend to 4).

 

TTT and/or please help, the trusty Cherokee has developed a strange new highway noise & vibration that I hope is just a small non-crucial issue...

At this moment I'm not convinced that this 163k-mile Chrysler product will make it to Charlotte and back this weekend... until I can figure out what's wrong, and I have very little time to mess with it before Friday afternoon departure...

Anyway, please help if you can. With any luck I will find out that the problem is insignificant (missing wheel balance weight, road debris caught in brakes, broken exhaust hanger, whatever) before Friday ... but regardless, I would LOVE to catch ANY ride going ANYWHERE near Richmond ANYTIME after lunch on Friday...

I found a racer for AI (Brian Smith) that lives in Richmond and can give you a ride. He will be leaving about 4PM Friday so that should work out perfectly.
