blown ECU... will GSR ecu work for H22?
I suspect my ECU is blown, but I want to be sure before I buy another. I dont know anybody with OBDI P13 in my area, and I was wondering if I could use my buddies ECU ('95 GSR...P28?) on my car to test the blown ECU theory. My setup is a H22A4 from a wrecked 2000 lude in a 95 CX hatch. hasport conversion harness.
I know the stock GSR ECU is not ideal but my question is will it work well enough for me to test if everything is working like it should?

I'm sure that you never blew your ECU. I've seen only 2 ECU's that burnt up a partial part of the circuit board from a major wiring problem. First check to see if the backup fuse under the hood is good, check all your grounds, and misc. wiring. Also make sure the battery is good. Do all of that with the current P13 in before switching to another ECU. Chances are it's a wiring problem.

Yes it will be sufficient to run the motor and test everything to see if the problem is elsewhere.

Yes it'll work, and ironically, it'll produce more power than the factory P13. Being it's a P72.
If it's a stock P28, then it'll run, but run extremely lean.

I think you mean more peak HP. Like 2.
Before that it just sucks
