Buying USDM vtec pressure switch but which part?
Ok I finally found out the probelm I was having. I have a euro ITR motor in my hatch and I found out that like the JDM engines they do not have a plug for the vtec pressure switch because the ecu contol that. Since I am using a P28 ecu and suck at anything involving wiring, I decided to just buy the USDM part but now I need to now which part I need to buy, is it the whole #9 box? Or other parts within the box? Thank you
Yes, the whole #9 box contains the complete US or OBD1 VTEC solenoid.
The VTPS is #15 though.
You can also use a SOHC VTEC solenoid on a B-series engine if you have access to one.

Here's the process of wiring "around" the newer JDM VTEC solenoid's that don't use a VTEC pressure switch. Of course you could always get an older solenoid or any USDM one, but this is a lot cheaper and just as efficient.
If the OBDI ECU you are using looks for a VTEC Pressure Switch, all you need to do is:
1.) Cut the wire for the VTEC pressure switch (D6) or add a wire at D6 if the car is not wired for VTEC.
2.) Tap into the VTEC solenoid wire (A4) using the wire from the ECU side that you just cut at D6.
Other OBD ECU's have the pinouts in different locations but you would simply use the same procedure.

Thanks for the reply man it has alot of good info
I do not think that the ecu I am using, chipped p28 by Kenji, will search for the VTEC pressure switch. Thanks again
