VTEC Pressure Switch
I went out last night to meet up with a bunch of people and we got to talking.
Someone told me JDM motors do NOT have a VTEC Pressure switch.
Is this true?
If so .... I think i figured out why im throwing a code for it .. I have a JDM d16A
which would mean I don't have a VTEC Pressure switch .. my chassis how ever is USDM and so is my wiring harness ... which means I have the plug.. and I will throw the code regardless .. can anyone confrim?

Re: VTEC Pressure Switch (mikehawk)
OBD2 ('96 - '01) JDM B-series engines don't have a vtec pressure switch. All '92 - '01 USDM vtec engines and all OBD1 and OBD0 JDM vtec engines have a pressure switch.
Edit. Using a JDM OBD2 B-series engine with the corresponding ECU works fine. Using that engine with a USDM ECU will throw a code for the pressure switch, you can do one of the following:
1) Use a USDM Vtec solenoid with the pressure switch
2) Use a JDM ECU
3) Tap the vtec pressue switch wire into the vtec solenoid wire
