Has anybody with a CTR or a S2000 steering wheel in an EK been in a frontal accident and did the airbags inflate? I've read threads in the archive saying that the airbags should inflate and that the airbag light doesn't go on w/ the new SRS wheel, but I'm wondering if there is actual proof. Please post if you or someone you know has either a CTR or S2000 steering wheel in an EK and has been in a frontal accident.
Considering that you do the changing of the wheels properly, the SRS light won't come on just because of it being a different wheel. As far as the airbag working properly, it should as well, again considering that you changed the wheel and bag the right way and your SRS light isn't on.
I have an Integra wheel and airbag on my EH civic but haven't been in an accident since changing it, so no first hand experience.
Bump for someone with actual first hand experience

Not really related but once someone on H-T said that if you disconnect the drivers airbag (I had a momo wheel), the passenger airbag won't go off.... BULLSHIT

If the SRS light is on, the system is disabled.

Does anybody have the proper method from the Helms of resetting the SRS system if the light is on? Searching has returned very little for me on this topic.

it depends on what the light is one for. if its a bad control module, then they won't go off. but if the problem has been fixed, and the light is still on, they will go off. even after the problem is fixed the light stays on until you reset it, so that means that there could be no current problems with the srs system, and the light could still be on.

(This is Trey)
It depends on the SRS code.
My code was on because the driver wheel was removed and the pass side IS disabled based on the Helms manual.
As for if both airbags in place and the light on, I don't have experience on that.

It's not true!!! I had a MOMO wheel, no airbag! I crashed my car in the mountain twisties going about 70 mph, and the passenger side went off.

I put a s2000 steering wheel on my 98 EK when I got my s2000 seats (got the wheel and bag for free yo! nice....)
anyway, I had to cut the wires and splice into my harness cause the clips didn't match up correctly for some fucked up reason even though it was both yellow and blue wires
I bumped a damn car in a ******* movie parking lot and ATE $800 worth of airbags like .3 seconds later...oh yeah...date over LOL...sigh...
anyway, I can say for certain that if the sensors in the front bumper aren't fucked up that the bags WILL work...
GRRRRR

So did you have the JDM ITR SRS Momo or is it a non-SRS Momo?
