Most of the EG forum guys/gals were aware of the group buy that B20Z had a while back. I thought I'd provide a review and an update, since I got quite a few IM's about the seats.
It did take a long time to get the seats, but it was worth the wait, as I was very impressed with them. There were no flaws on the seat, the weave was tight and straight, and they're super light. B20Z had said that they would mount to Sparco hardware properly, and this was the case, as the Sparco sidemount equipment lined up properly. I've had a few sets of Sparco seats in my old car (CRX), and one thing I didn't like was the Sparco bracket didn't fit very well, I always had to drill the holes bigger to line up, bolt in, etc. A friend who works for a local shop mentioned that Sparco would no longer be using Wedge engineering brackets, that they were producing their own, laser cut brackets, and I could try a set out.....
Sparco laser cut brackets

Very impressive piece that fit quite well, I was more than satisfied with this product. The side mounts are laser cut as well, same style they've always used.
After finally having time to install them, I set them as low as possible, similar height to the Del Sol's that I was using for the last 3 years. As I mentioned on another thread, these are narrow, REAL narrow. If you're over 170 or so, you wouldn't want to ride in my car, would not be comfortable. So much more control with these seats, they "hug" you nice on the hip and shoulder areas, and keep you planted. As for comfort, I drove for about 2 hours to LA last weekend, and had no problems at all.
Here's a few pics installed in the car......
Main thing I wanted was a supportive seat, non reclinable, and I was hoping for something with no huge labels on it, plain as possible, and this seat was the one for me. Not for everyone, but I'm loving it.

Very nice seats!! Not to pry, but how much did you end up paying for a set of them??? Id also like to know how much they weigh!

B20z was charging 350 each, as far as weight, I'd estimate about 9-10lbs each.

I considered it, but I'm not sure I want to add any more weight with a roll bar, but I'm still thinking about it

That was with the sliders, but not the brackets, again that's an estimate, I didn't have a scale to weigh them, but I wish I had

I understand, I just don't like the idea of using harnesses with no roll bar, and I wouldn't do one w/out the other. Sorry for the confusion

i drive daily in a bucket too, quite amazing what it will do for your confidence in the twisties.
can you please post a pic of the space between the floor and the seat rails?, i have wedge brackets now and they sit too high. i am thinking about mugen rails for my drivers side but i have a torino for the passenger seat and might have to do a custom bracket.
this may be the answer. good thred.
btw, are those b20z's legal for competition?

No, I don't believe they're legal for all types of competition, cause they're not approved. The gap between the floor and the bracket is about 3inches, from the floor to the bottom of the seat, about 5inches. I'd get a pic for you, but after work, I have a meeting, so I won't be home until about midnight
. The reason these sit so low, is because the side mounts allow you adjustments, similar to these:

Otherwise, they look cool.

Yeah, I leaned the passenger seat back a little, with the adjustable sides to make the passenger more comfortable, so they wouldn't have to sit so vertical. (I like my driver seat to be upright, and close to the wheel
