Default I have $1000 and no engine. What would YOU do.

im not looking for a super fast setup... 15's are fine with me.

what im thinking is a d16z6.... and a rebuild.

mainly im concerned with two things. its reliable, and its clean. i want to have anodize fittings, polished parts, all that. im going for a show-worthy car.

again, speed is not a major concern- buuuuut if tossing in pistons that will up compression will add some hp, and they are the same price or whatever... then why not. basically, i dont want to waste money on making it fast, when i could spend it on making it look nice and clean.

any ideas on what to do? anything like... if i put cx pistons, it'll make my compression 11:1 or something...

you should try the search function; it will answer most of your questions. good luck on the 'nice and clean' route.

People actually swap d-series motors? Why not spend an extra 500 and get a B16 if you're already spending 1000

a car doesn't have to be fast to have a clean engine bay.

im not saying i want it blingging, but clean, with nice parts is NICE.

and im not going for a b16 because i am working on a certain budget.

If you care what your engine looks like over going faster/handling better, then H-T is not for you. Talking about bling blang is suicide on H-T. RIP
