b16 head with LS manifold??? Help! Also a coupel LS/VTEC questions
My car is a 98 Civic Hatch with a B18B running OBD1 p75. Ok, I just purchased a B16 head it comes with everything MINUS intake manifold and throttle body. I was wondering if the LS manifold is compatible? Will I suffer HP by using this? If not then I will just buy a complete Manifold.
Also another Question i got is I know I should run a Vtec Water pump, and I should run a Vtec Oil Pump also right? And if i do this then I will need to run the Vtec Timing belt. Thanks for your help fellas done a search and its a little unclear to me.

The LS intake manifold will not bolt up. You should run a vtec water and oil pump and with that you will run a gsr timing belt.
On the contrary, I used to own a b16'ed crx with an ls intake manifold. I did not do the swap myself, so I can't tell you if the person had to "make" it fit, but yes, it was on. I'm 99.9% sure it did bolt right up.
b16 timing belt will not work cause the b16 in itself is a shorter block, i'm 99% positive you can't just bolt on an LS intake mani to a b16 head, i guess you could slot the holes out or redrill some stuff but just bolt on, i don't think so.
Skunk2 IM and ITR TB or JG TB, and youll be set for anything that you plan for the future.
VTEC Water Pump + B18 Deck Height = GSR/ITR Timing Belt.
Hondata IM Gasket.
