Hella air horns installed
The other day I was almost killed by a blind old man in a minivan. He swerved into my lane on a freeway on ramp, just as I was beginning to "pick up a little speed". My GF screamed, my ABS kicked in, and I swore enough to make daddy proud. I gathered up all my anger and frustration that had been gathering over the last three months or so of summer driving, and proceeded to direct it at Mr Minivan. I mashed my fist into the horn button with a silly evil grin on my face, then, ....meep.
The stock horn has the decibel rating of a gay uncle farting, I swear.
Mr Minivan disappears in the sunset, content with the knowledge that I am a total and utter *****. I swore right then that I would never suffer such a humiliation ever again.
The next day I found these at the local automotive store:
They are made in Italy, and all the components seem to be of fair quality. Comes with it's own relay, all I just had to wire 12v from the battery to the compressor through the relay, use the old horn wire as the switch, and ground everything. All the horns fit behind the nose of the car, in front of the rad, and the compressor mounted off to the side in a dry spot by the headlight assembly. I pointed the horns down so any water that does manage to find its way on there runs out. You really have to look for the horns to see them from the outside, the install is very stealth.
The kitchen knife is a vital tool for any DIY job, just don't tell my GF, ok?
How does it sound? Lets just say construction workers go for lunch when I honk my horn. It is loud. And VERY piercing. I love it so much. Yesterday I was honking at people who looked like they were kind of maybe thinking of cutting me off.
HEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAANNNNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know where you can get these on the net? This would really help me out cause where I live there are a lot of deer in the area and if they hear a loud horn they go the other way. I had to find this out after hitting one though.
I love my airhorns. I got mine at pep boys for like 40 bux. I got the triple airhorns, theyre loud as hell. I always wail'em when I go through underpasses. heheh! This is my second set, the compressor tends to go bad after a few years. but they are definitely worth it.

These have a nice high tone. Does We-todd-did host sound files?

I just installed those in a friend's car last week and yes they are f*cking loud.
If you want to make it a little different try only routing 1 tube to 1 horn....that way it gets ALL the air and is even louder (we did this just to test it out and it was crazy).
