I have found lots of guys bulbs don't fit perfectly. you may need to zip tie the bulb in. Better get it to light up first though.

Try re-seating the bulbs, may take a couple tries.

Oh, and newspeedR, do you actually have any suggestions to help this guy or just that bored on a Friday

upgrade your fuses... you dont want to do that... big nono... if you go to a higher amp fuse, it will take more for it to blow and then you can cause damage to your system... stick with the 10 amper...

as far as me to telling you staight out what was wrong, i did that cause you need to learn the root of the problem... it isnt everyday that mom and dad go out and buy there son's Type R's... thats why i have a LsR... and when it is finished, it will be better than what you can get from a real R and i finnance my own speed...

ITR 01-622: The one side won't lock in all the way? Look to see if the red bulb socket hits the headlight housing. If so, you can shave a little off the top of the socket to get it to lock in.

NewspeedR:

It's good to see there are some real wrenchers with experience here.
LS-R's kick ***.
RS-R's are even better because they are lighter.

yeah one side wont lock...its wierd cuz if i do it on the other side, it locks. also the stock bulb fixture locks as well. so it must be something w/ the hid fixture...i duct taped it for not, i'm going to see if i can do anything more about it this weekened...i also tucked the wire from the ballast to the bulb under what i think is the abs relay?? its pretty snug....and btw, dang they look nice

The reason why it doen't lock is because of the red rubber.. The bulb has to have the red rubber around it.........if it comes loose, just crazy glue it down...

This is also how i have rigged BMW HID's in my car... for people that know, they use reflector bulbs, and Integras' need projectors... so you have to convert the bulb to project, and it is possible... and then you have to get the bulb to fit in the gas pocket at the correct location...

this a hobbie and sopposed to be fun and make you think... if i wanted a factory fast car... i would have got my Porche 911 TT carrera C4...

Is it me, or neuspeedR has a complex? What you're trying to say is that starting out with an R doesn't provide fun with and the only way to have fun is to build it from ground up??? If that floats your boat, then fine... but other people have other hobbies and jobs besides their R's and they like to have a better starting point. I know you don't think that R is perfect and most us feel the same way,, so we fix it up. In fact, not a single car in the planet if "perfect"... even a "911 TT" is not perfect depending on a person's interpretation. (That's why there's 911 GT2, etc.) So, you could've gotten a 911 TT and fixed it up your way... somehow I doubt that would've happend. One last thing, if you're going to help out, then help out... doesn't look like anyone would be calling you for "phone-a-friend" option.

Newspeed R: "For people that know"? What the hell are you talking about? Apparently you do not "know". I however do know about converting BMW parts to an Integra. I am running a X5 kit in my car and have done numerous conversions using BMW parts(from old skool disco 7 series ballasts to bosch 2 pc ones). BMW's use D2S bulbs. They use projector lenses for the Xenon lights. I don't see how you can convert a D2R bulb to a D2S either, but I have never tried. You are correct in the fact that you do have to get the gas pocket in the same position as a filament for a proper beam pattern though. Also you do have to upgrade your headlight fuses to 15 amp ones. It won't damage the system. I mean it is only 5 amps more.

actually....newspeedR did somehow convert the bulbs to a "projector" bulb....he explained it to me but all i know is that it works....how do i know he made it work???? Cus he bought our friends hids (Y2kgsr) and when me and Y2kgsr tried to make em work we couldnt git the beam pattern strong enuff...and when me and newspeedR tried to do it we couldnt git the pattern strong enuff either...but he went home and the next day came back out with them and they are brighter than my hids are...and if you guys have ever seen EK's with hids you know they are bright.....
As for **** talking...everyone needs to relax...its all a matter of opinions....i know NBP ITR 01-622 and so does he...so there is no bullshit going on...what newspeedR was saying about the mom and dad thing is that his mom and dad didnt buy him one..hes building his from the ground up basically...not saying that jay NBP ITR 01-622 got his bought by his parents...so everyone relax...kick back...and enjoy the VTEC
