Default just dynoed my hatch

Here is the chart of the first and last run:

My car has a jdm b16(sir II) with crower cams, springs, retainers, and cam gears. I'm kinda disappointed in the numbers. They did a compression check which came out to 210/210/220/220. I have a d/c header, stock cat and a thermal turbo exhaust. I'm going to get a high flow cat and a n/a exhaust which will hopefully help these numbers.

you should of dynoed it when it was stock and use that as a baseline. Then dyno again after the mods.

Don't be disappointed at those numbers. All dynos are different. You could go dyno on a different one and the numbers won't be the same.

Also weather pays a big part.

Hmmm yes the numbers do seem low. What kind of fuel upgrades do you have?

first off dont let bmtranny tune your car, they HATE hondas. if you dont have a DSM dont let them tune it!! now what compression are you running? not to sound like a dick but a b16 isnt exactly the best 'all motor' choice, have you considered other options? whats done to your bottomend? what fuel mods, what ecu, wha did they change etc. so many questions

compression is 210/210/220/220. ECU is a chipped P28(kenji). Bottom end is stock. No fuel mods except for V-AFC. I have aftermarket intake, header, and exhaust.

I went with a b16 because GSR and type r motors are way too expensive. If I blow this motor I will probably go LS/vtec.

The guy that tuned my car was cool. I didn't notice any anti-honda sentiment.

i know them on a different level, we made more power in one of our talons on 94 then they do on their race car with 116. believe me they dont 'care' for hondas, ask them to build you a honda motor and see what they say lol. anyhow for any aggressive cam you need more compression, fuel is also another thing get a fpr & gauge asap since now your startin to tune, you want to be able to know everything you possibly can for tuning a car. best thing i can tell you for compression on a budget is ctr pistons, cant beat the price and it'll give you the compression you need for those cams.

What are some good dynos in the NJ area? I'm in central NJ and would rather not have to travel more than 100mi.

Where is your vtec set at? Looks like maybe at 4800...but that graph is very spikey.

if you have an air fuel graph it would help to tell if they tuned it well, best thing to do now would be get a fpr so you can bump up the fuel and then if you need to lower it you can adjust it very fine with the vafc

you got to look at it like this, if these guys ONLY build/tune DSM, what do they have to offer you besides the dyno? any builder/tuner will tell you dont bring a civic to a guy who tunes mustangs, etc. thats why i said dont let them touch your car. id find a good tuner and take him to the dyno with you and then see what your results are.

You need tuning man.I have the same numbers with only I/H/E and I haven't even put in my Skunk2 cams..Something is very wrong..And the b16 sirII engine has more power than my b16a2 to begin with

And get the high flow cat ASAP the stock cat on the b-series engines sucks (I gained 8 whp with my random tech high flow cat)

on a dyno, it's probably 2-3 whp more, and probably an identical torque number. not much, but i'll take every 2 or 3 ponies i can get

I would get rid of the 3 in. thermal turbo exhaust and get a skunk 2 mega power.

vtec is at 6500. he tried dynoing it with less rpm but resulted in power loss. The a/f ratio graph wasn't very lean; i probably should have had him print it out. The intake manifold and throttle body are stock. I think my next goals are to get a 2.5 inch exhaust system(JDM dc sports header, carsound, and exhaust.) Which exhausts are 2.5in? I guess I'll need to upgrade intake manifold and throttle body as well, any suggestions?

You know those numbers on the dyno sheet are stated in standard HP which will always come out higher than the SAE corrected numbers...so in reality if your sheet was in SAE your numbers like most of them are they would even be lower...not good!! Sounds like its time for a new tuner!!
