VTEC wiring
alright, i have the single cam si head on my dx hatch, and the vtec wasnt wired when i got it...i asked a similar question a little while ago about how to wire it to the p28 ecu, but i have no idea where to even begin, i suck at electrical whatnot, so any help would be great

Unless you have a 92 model year civic, buying a VTEC harness is useless. You will still need to run the wiring from the underhood subharness to the ECU.
All you need to do is run 1 wire from the VTEC solenoid (ECU pin A4) and 1 from the pressure switch (ECU pin D6) to the ECU. It takes no real skill to do this.
Only thing i would suggest is to get a female ecu connector from an auto recycler for the "pins". Just make sure you leave enough wire to splice the new wires onto...

oh oh oh ...one more question...i found the green wire for the vtec solenoid..but wheres the vtec pressure wire...what color?... thanky

where do you find the connectors for each end, how hard is it to get them to stay ??? motor harness side i have no idea if they just pop in and stay or if you need a connector and on the ECU side, where do you ge the pins, I need some for my wiring.....

you need to go to a a bone yard and cut the connectors off of the ecu. pull out those pins and run them directly to each individual sensor. thats the easiest, or get the car side of the engine harness and cut it off (from said bone yard) and back pin it but you will still need ecu back pins.

yeah...you will need to go to a junkyard and get plugs for the VTEC solenoid and the VTEC oil pressure wire...then wire the plugs to the respective pinouts in the ECU...don't forget the ground as well
