Default FMAX turbo Buy-in Information here!

Hi all

I'm sure that everyone who is interested has seen my other post...I decided to start another post just to get the information more compiled and digested.

Please keep in mind that I didn't start this post to start a debate session on which kit is better...I know everyone has their own preferences. So unless you are even mildly interested in purchasing an FMAX, I kindly ask to keep you opinions to yourself or post your comments in my other post.

The main purposes of this new post is again to get the info compiled an leave the garbage info out. Second, I wanted to be able to share any kind of updates given by the vedors out there (prices, how to buy, extra parts etc...) with serious buyers, and also to attract@potential vendors who may want to offer a competitive price or deal.

Here is the deal so far:
Sign up date: shooting for end of October (may be extended)
Product: F-MAX turbo kit (full kit only)
Project # of people in the buyin: we need at least five, 10 would be nice!

Deals offered so far:

SEE THE LAST POST FOR THE LATEST UPDATE ON THIS BUY IN!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you personally know of any sweet deals or somebody who can offer one, or if you want or offer one of you own please e-mail me privately with the details at miraiz@gol.com. If you are interested in joining just keep checking back here and maybe even post a shotrt message like "I'm interested" here..thanks!

I just got my kit from Cartoys like not even 5 months ago. Is the place you're talking about run by a guy named Allen Alilio or something? Allen is who I went through, and as far as I know, he's still up and running.

Okay here's my update for the day

Rich at http://www.r2autosports.com/ has countered Importpart's deal. Here is where we stand as far a our deals ranking.

#1. AutoSports -will sell for $3400, and include an HKS Type 0 turbo timer for a 5 person buy-in . Rich says he absolutely cannot go below $3400 because of his contract with F-MAX.

#2. ImportParts -$3400 for a 5 person buy-in, will add turbo timer if we can get 10 people or more.

#3. Cartoys Motorsports -still awaiting answer for a group price, but they do offer it for $3550 with a ceramic coating upgrade. Thanks to Reverend for the hot info!!

#4. Mantaray Motorsports-still awaiting answer for a group price, but they do offer it for $3798...no extra parts or deals

Dirtylude has given a tip on a hot deal which I am following up on...I really don't know if it will go through but I will keep you updated.

We've still got a lot of time....my initial deadline is to come up with a vendor by the end of the month...then form the actual group buy next month. Hopefully by mid october, everyone should have their kits or at least on its way..

Update...Ben just contacted me...he is pretty much sticking by the importparts offer in #2.

TypeRmsm..if you can pull a better deal...you will be da man! Good luck!

I'm getting e-mail trickling in from different distributors telling me that they can beat Autosports and Importparts (the two leading deals), but still no concrete figures yet. As soon as they come back with some figures, I will post a new top 5 list. $3400 is still the magic number, and I am estimating 5 takers at ths price. If we can go lower, I'm sure we can get closer to 10.

MiraiZ,

I talked to my hook up out of Florida. He told me he could beat the $3400 price and he would include a Greedy turbo timer with the purchase. He is supposed to firm up the selling price in a couple of days. He only said that if we decided to go with him, that the 10 or more we get to buy, will have to sign a contract. Which is no big deal! So, email me out of the forum if you are interested in this deal. I think he might be able to hit the $3300 mark we were aiming for, but we would need at least 10. I am one and you are two!

I am most likely in on this, depending on how good of deal we can get. I think $3300 with turbo timer would meet my needs, or perhaps $3400 with turbo timer and some gauges.

That sounds great...whoever has the lowest price wins...so far I've gotten a lot of puf but no deals...

I'm curious to know the contents of this so called contract. The only way I can guarantee a commitment from ten people is to get the distributor to register at groupbuycenter.com and have the buyers sign up there, so the distributor has to be a licensed one... still waiting on a few epole to get back to me....so if you can get someone to sell cheap, I think the people will sign up natrually.

Mirai,

How about this? You find the best deal out there for the F-MAX kits and I'll beat it for you guys. Keep in mind that these kits are on back order and will take 2-4 weeks to ship from date of order.

Always happy to give you business Ben. But curious...if you are in the position to offer a better deal...then why not offer a better one of your own? As you can see by the top five in the above post, someone has already tied (or actually beaten because of the lower head count) Importpart's offer (sorry to sound rough ...just wheeling an dealing ya know -trying to get us all a good deal) I've got people coming up with crazy cheap prices....just waiting to get a commitment from someone...

I don't think 2 weeks is long to wait...as long as all the parts are there and working!!

Well this is the position I'm in: F-MAX will not allow us to offer a deal lower than the one we've already offered. At this point, we can only beat the best deal you find. It's a small technicality but a serious one.

Thanks Ben...I understand your position now....by the way does this apply for private distributors as well? What if some small time distributor with no web site offers me a good price, can you counter it?

Mirai, they have to be an authorized dealer and we have to be able to verify the price.

Thanks for the reply Ben

As for everyone else, as you know I have been in contact with several distributors trying to get the lowest possible price on the FMAX.

Unfortunately, FMAX has been really uncoopertive in giving the distributors a break. And almost everyone is frozen at the same price. IMO, this not only unfair to us the consumer, but it really unfair to the distributors who should really have the freedom to compete with each other and give the consimer the best deal. Sorry for the patriotic bs, but this is really not the American way.

Now, after saying all that, there is one solution that a certain distributor, who wishes to keep his name anonymous, has offered. Now just by mentioning this is a public forum might jeapordize the whole deal, but I feel it needs to be mentioned to show how much these distributor want to go out of the way for us. He has offered to sell lower than the MSRP as long as his name is kept confidential under any and all circumstances. (In such case I may need to act as a buffer between you the consumer and him so that he doesn't have to reveal his name) Obviously there is a question of creditblity and accountibility on his part here. Otherwise, if the distributor is willing, I could prabably distribute a contact point so that you can contact him individually and get the kit for the less expensive price. but again there is no credibility on our part either.

The best solution is to have all the distributors form a sort of a "gentleman's agreement" in that they will compete fairly and offer the best deal to us, may the best man win, and not narc to FMAX that someone is selling lesss than MSRP. But I guess that's just a fantasy right.

Please keep in mind that this is merely an update on the current situation and not a final conclusion....I will keep wheeling and dealing to get us all a fair shake, so stay tuned!

Okay...here's the deal: Good news for most of you.

I just contacted one of FMAX's major suppliers and talked to them about our group buy. I cannot reveal their name at this time because they want to protect themselves from their previous customers whom normally buy the FMAX for A LOT more than they are asking now.

The Deal:
1. $3299 from a major dealer with approval from FMAX - with no other discounts or deals for a 5 or more person buyin. No further reduction for more people.

The way it will work is that IF YOU ARE SERIOUS (<- can't emphasize this any more than that) PLEASE NO LAST MINUTE FLAKERS....you are to email me with your name, address, day and evening number, and e-mail address. I will forward this to the distributor and they will contact you with billing instructions. At this point they should make their name known to you. You pay them and you get your kit...any problems or complaints about your order, contact them.

WAIT!!! Now, before you start emailing me! I would like to give it some more time for someone else to counter this...we may be able to go lower...someone else said that they can....so let's wait and see. But at this point $3299 is our new FMAX APPROVED buying price!!

Sorry guys. We have to pull out of our involvement in this buy. With the prices currently mentioned, we won't be able to afford to offer the service we are accustomed to offering with turbo kit sales (pre/post). This just means that you guys are getting a VERY good deal on the kits. Again we apologize for withdrawing.

Thanks again for your honesty...hopefully we can do business on other products in the future!!

Everyone else...

I must admit this is a pretty sweet deal and its about $500 less than the other folks and $100 less than the second lowest bid. Plus...I assure you that this is a large well-known distributor offering this...so feel safe! Again I cannot make their name public unless you are a serious buyer....I will hold this price for couple of weeks to see what this other distributor wants to do. But at $3299, who's in? Just reply to this post by saying 'I'm in'...followed by a date you would like to purchase....so I can get a good idea how many people we've got...

Remember...

this is for Honda/Acura cars only (toyotas and nissans are more expensive)
Serious buyers only
no extras are included
need at least 5 confirmed buyers
if you want optional parts or variations on your kit...tell that to the vendor when he contacts you....when we decide to go with this.
