My local shop offer me $1000 + $ 400(ECU) included labobr, is that good?
Also after swaping transmission, how reliable for car? later on, I am gonna put a drag 3 tubo kit.

 

I've seen a master tech do this one one occassion.. drove in a car w/ auto trans and drive it out 3 hours later a 5spd! ( he was one the best I've ever worked with )
labor charges depend upon the tech actually doing the job.. i figure about $1000 would be about right for the swap.. ecu seems kinda pricey..
reliability would not differ, except if the person doing the job forgets a few screws "here and there" but.. It can be done.. : )

 

That's for a G2 teg right cause there's no way it's that cheap for a G3... That's about the right amount for labor though.

 

jeah dat sounds like pretty good deal man, cept ecu for 400z kinda steep... u get find one lot cheaper

 

ECU is only 100 or so. It only costs around 300 if you want a VTEC ecu, which you don't need or could even use.

 

average price what kinda car is it you doin the swap on? You can probably get a lot better deal for the ECU its stock ECU?

 

YUP, 1000 sounds exactly right. but yah the ecu is too expensive.

 

My car is 94 LS auto with I/H/E, cam gear and power pully(useless), I am gonna put turbo kit after swaping transmision. Anybody some comment?
