Thanks to everyone that responded to my thread about my rattling N1 on my EK. I looked it over and found that it had plenty of clearance near the gas tank and that it really was my lca. Lacking time (not to mention tools and motivation) to try and switch the hangers tonight, inspiration came in the form of my new DC Hybrids.

I remembered that I got a little rubber shoe that goes on a keychain when I ordered them. So I ran to my room and started throwing stuff around till I found it. I went and wedged it between my lca and the exhaust pipe. Started her up and went for a drive.....no more rattles!!!!

 

good stuff..i should tell my friend about this he has an n1 and whenever we come to a stop ( when the car idles) there is a loud knocking sound like the exhuast pipe it hitting somthing...

 

you must be happy. I know i am, when i fix a freakin' annoying sound from my car.

 

Haha, i fixed the annoying rattle of the WS on my gas tank. I had the muffler shop actually do it because i dont have a welder. What a relief.

 

man i was the one that said thats what it probably was not trying to brag or anything i just know from my crappy exhaust. that is a weird proplem for it being a real apex-i. my wanna be 5 zigen is doing it too. i am gonna try what you did hopefully my dvs key chain will work

I'm headin to a friends house today to switch the hangers, but last night I couldnt do it for lack of jackstands and some other stuff he borrowed from me.
