99 bumper on 98 Civic
I'm almost positive you have to change your front end entirely to fit a 99-00 Civic bumper on the front but just in case I'm wrong, can I just fit it with my 98 hood, fenders, and headlights? Thanx.
You have to change to 99-00 hood, fenders, bumper, grill and headlights. I think you have to trim the back of the bumper a little bit to clear the radiator support from the 98.

I think you gotta do some cutting on the bumper to make it fit, not positive on the entire process but it still doesn't look right with the 98 headlights. Just do the whole front end conversion
o wow I never knew that the 96-98 headlights work with the 99-00 bumper
What did they use on that white civic? 96-98 headlight fender hood and 99-00 grill and bumper?

you definitely need to do some cutting. i tried this on my 98... (bought headlights, fenders, hood, etc...) and the radiator support *is* different... so it's a little bit of work. unless you plan on buying a new radiator support.

It will fit but you have to trim about 1/2'' off the 99 bumper near the grill.
And is this like the thousandth time we have covered this.

anybody know if a lip kit off of a 99 civic will fit on a 98 civic? I want to switch out this front end I have for a bomex front lip instead but don't know if it'll fit right.
I knew this was a stupid question, but I was just making sure anyway. I just bought an Si bumper and I just wanted it on their temporarily until I did the whole swap. I planned it anyways. But thanx.
Nope won't fit because the 99 lip is shorter in length (left to right) so you would need to extend somehow. I've seen 99 Si lips on 98 bumpers though, looks pretty good.
