HID for Integra Type R... which one is best?
i was curious about which HIDs i should get for an Integra Type R with a JDM front end. i heard Philips and Catz r good.
which brand and model should i get? intensity? what's the difference? could someone send me a helpful link or just respond with helpful information? r they all universal? do i have to get a specific model/brand for an ITR?
i've run into too many brands and options, and i don't wanna end up with somethin' hoopty.
thanks,
eric

LOL.. that's a good one.
Yeah, this topic has been beat up to death and it will never end. It's all about preference, some like the white, or the blue, and/or the purpleish... catz are good and if you do a search everybody swears by Trevors kits...

I stole some Audi HIDs; er found, yeah, found them. j/k
I hear good things about Philips. But some of the OEM HIDs are really nice if you take the time to fabricate the hardware to use them in your car.

Catz makes a great kit. I just installed them on my teg. They come in 3 different colors...
White,Blue, and Purple. What you have to decide is what YOU want. Blue and Purple are beautiful, but put out less useable light. The higher the K, the less light output. 4500k (in white) is the brightest and what I would prefer.

Which can be fixed I'd guess.. might need some modification.. but still.
IMO that is the biggest problem with the JDM OEM HIDs. I would not use them for that reason alone.

Yes. Obviously the bulbs do not have the pattern. Was it that hard to figure out what I was saying? Come on now. Maybe you were just joking.

There was mention of a JDM front-end in the original post. That means this guy doesn't care if he blinds people, since the JDM Halogens produce the same beam pattern. Knowing that, I don't think it matters which brand HIDs he buys.
