Default New Setup (Pics and info)

Acivation switch hidden in ashtray:

The specs are in the first links. I need to take a picture of the MSD switch and the custom Fuel pressure sender/gauge. I used a Autometer Oil pressure sender, taped into the fuel line (at fuel filter), and sent the signal to the oil pressure gauge. now I can just toggle between fuel pressure and oil pressure with a flick of a switch (instead of getting out and poping the hood.

I might be wrong but is your bottle mounted wrong? The valve should be towards the front of the car and the bottom of the bottle should be towards the rear of the car. Atleast thats what i have heard........anyways how hard does it kick when you engage nitrous?

No, I followed the directions. As long as the top of the bottle is higher than the bottom it is ok, especially since mine is sideways.

LOL, about the seat. I don't spray/race with my Son. No, it's not flamible by itself so it should be cool and I mounted it as far fwd as possible so as to not take impact in a rear -end collision. I just remove the bottle when he's in there just in case.

Well, I only have a 55 shot right now, so it's only a little boost (maybe .5 sec faster).

i cant see the pics...but yes, the valve should face the front of the vehicle...

when you accelorate, the nitrous will natually follow the laws of physics...and the only way to make the nitrous feed correctly ALL OF THE TIME, is to mount the valve towards the front of the car.

And a 55 shot of NOS should boost you more than .5 seconds in the 1/4 mi...

actually, I'm going by the directions/pictures that came with the kit. If you mount it laterally like I did, then as long as the top is higher than the bottom it will be right. The pull of acceleration will still have the Nitrous in the bottom of the tank(and the pickup tube will be in the same exactplace). I have the diagrams if you want to check it out (shows all the possiblilties with the corresponding correct mounting angles). Now, if you mount it longways, then you have to have the nozzle facing the rear.

KABOOM!!!!!

Sorry i just hate NOS. But at least your only shooting a small amount. You should be fine. Its the people with the 100+ shots that blow there motors. Like the one i saw at IDRC Saturday that blew a hole in there motor. Not a pretty picture.

HAHa, you know what I meant. I meant it should face fwd!

The turbo may or may not come. I'm thinkin I should be contempt with how fast my car is now (yeah right, I just don't know if I want to dump another $3K+ into my car). We'll see.

About the car being dirty, I KNOW! I was hoping no one noticed that, lol. It's clean right now.

'01GSR, I fixed my suspension, we need to meet up man.

Naw, my car is fast without the Kit. In fact, It's just for every now and then. I'm still in the NA/OE buisiness (next mod JDM 4-1).

I know what you mean about the weather. I ran 3 tenths slower and that was in may. I bet I'd run 15's all day (N/A). It's not just the temperature, but the humidity.

Anyway, who said anything about the track. The track is only for me to beat the clock. Hit me up, -C

Oh, it's just you not seeing the pictures. Other people can see it (you can find the pics in the links above).

how much did the whole kit run you? how much hp does that 55 shot really give you?

awesome point about the fuel cut off and NOS! i NEVER thought about that! does the zex system do anything to safeguard against that? i want to get this kit as well, but i'm kinda crunched for money and still trying to decide if i wanna pay $40 to fill my bottle every month of two.

First off, it coast about $30 to fill the 10lb bottle, and "every couple of months?!" It's more like every other week (I'm still on my first bottle though;I'm pretty satisfied with my car without the bottle). Even at a 55 shot, it's only good for like 3 minutes of continous sray. 55 shot is a 55hp shot. The shot is supposed to indicate hp. None of the systems (that I saw at least) back the nitrous off at redline. The kit is about $510+shipping which is like $45 since it's so heavy. The MSD rpm switch with pills is about $85 (I had it from previous motors), the ZEX plugs are only $20-25.

I like the ZEX because all the solenoids and what not are all contained in on box. This makes assembly, and more importantly, disassenly MUCH quicker. It only takes me 5 minutes to take everything off (In case of warranty work). You never can be too safe.

well your whole fuel shut off/msd pill setup is awesome! that was ingenious to think of, in my opinion.

well knowing that it's $30 to fill up makes me want it a little more, but at the same time, knowing how long the bottle will last makes me think if i ever get it I will have to think with my brain and not my lead foot (Pb is Lead on the Periodic Table of The Elements, haha, get it? Pb Foot? That's my license plate too, lol) ok, well enough of that... thanks for the info, you probably just saved my engine from blowing up one day!

haha, I just got the Pb thing. I never thought of that. 3 minutes of use is a LOT. That is an estimate (i have it exactly in my directions somewhere). Just think, I just use it for about 1 gear at a time which is only a few seconds. What made me do it is no other $500 mods give you 55-75hp or even close. Besides, if I ever get broke, I'll hide the whole thing, gut my car, drill out the Nitrous bits for a 150 shot, and Hustle 24/7!

Damn, the setup looks great buddy. My buddy had a nitrous setup in his GSR but I never got a chance to ride in it before he took it off. Must be great!!!
