Did any of you guys who bought your ITRs in Ontario get a deal from the dealer? Just curious because they have a few 2001s sitting around here which are quite tempting but they don't seem willing to take the price down. A guy in the service department hinted that they were guiding me to the RSX because the salesman gets better $ on them.

I guess this doesn't really apply to the guys who picked up 97-99 models, mostly just the 2000 and 2001s which don't seem to have been moving as quickly.

I picked mine up at Casino Acura, I'm pretty sure that it was the last one they where getting, I got that back in May, I don't suggest you go there at all, their service is horrible, only reason I got it from there is cause it was the only place that had one, Camco was all out of em. Maybe they got more around but Camco and Casino are the only 2 dealers near or around Ottawa.

 

There are two right now at Camco and I would suspect they may have more in the warehouse (I personally witnessed them selling the 'last one' in 1998 when I had just minutes before seen 6 unsold ones in the warehouse). IIRC Camco and Casino are under the same ownership.

I guess they weren't willing to negotiate then? You don't have to give exact dollars, just looking for a ballpark.

I'm talking about the 2001 models, and no they wont negociate at all :\ I paid around 38k tax included and that was with a trade in. But you could try to talk to the guy from Camco maybe they can grab one from Toronto, I heard that they have lots, well enough in stock, maybe I'm wrong tho, good luck. If not go for the type S I guess or at least test drive .

 

yup, both places, Camco and Casino don't negotiate at all for the Ra. But then you can work on the A/C (if you are going to get A/C) and acessaries.... (well, doesn't make a big difference, but hey, better than nothing, right?) good luck.

Yeah, I am from Ottawa, I got my R from Casino... simlply because they have way better services.

beside, bring you car back to Casino for services, they will wash you car afterward (which they don't in Camco)

Ya I did or so they told me, they received 2 on the same day mine came in, so me and this guy I believe got the last batch that Casino was getting. I need to bring my R in on Monday cause my break pedal is making this weird skeeky noise, I hope they let me test drive the Type S, I wanna see how it feels.

 

at Erin Mills Acura in Mississauga (toronto), they have 9, yes 9 brand new type r's with red seats still sitting in the back of their parking lot. asking $550 tax in, no money down 48 months. thats a good deal................................

That's impossible...they would be losing money if they only wanted $550/month with no money down. Are you referring to leasing?

 

Yeah, that is on a lease. I've seen them from $500-$550/mo 0 down 48 mo. lease
