Broken Bolt in Block, HELP!

Okay I tried to change my waterpump on my B16A and upon putting it back together one of the water pump bolts broke off inside the block. Not one bit of it was sticking out. Seems that the waterpump bolts are different sizes, by a few mm. I think I used a long one, when it should have been the shorter.
1. So first off, I used a dremel to cut a line in the bolt and use a flathead screwdriver to screw it out. Didn't work!
2. Okay, I go to the hardware store and get the special drill bits to back out the bolt. Drill a hole in the bolt then stuck the special bit in there and the freakin tip breaks off inside the bolt as I start.
3. I tried to just use a bigger drill and just drill it all out, but every bit I put in there, stops when it hits the other tip and breaks itself.
So what are my options now??
PS- Motor is out of car, sitting on the ground. If any local peeps want to help me fix this at my place, rather than me taking the whole motor to a shop, then let me know. I'd be glad to someone for their time.
Charles- Why can't I just leave things ALONE?

Ahh
That's a case by case and depends on the situation. But if the bolt is in deep enough, especially being a water pump bolt -- Hate to break bad news, but it sounds like you may need a replacement block
I would not install the water pump with a re-tapped bolt and such on the water pump, it will just end up leaking and not seal properly under extreme conditions, if anything, normal conditions.
Wish best of luck to you.

I would take a few pics an go to a local machine shop. See what they can do. They might be able to tap out the bolt/bit and rethread the hole. It might be bigger bolt though. Other then that, I would of tried an easy out first. But ya know I broke one of em too so I guess the best thing would of been to take it to machine shop in the first place... Breaking bolts sucks, I broke 3 during my swap.
Hope ya can work something out.

I had a couple bolts broken in my head. My dad drilled it out with a bigass drill and now it needs to be re-threaded. My local tuner shop quoted me $50 to rethread it
Oh man, this isn't going to be fun.
I don't know how much room you have but....
if you can drill small holes on the sides of the EZ-out, you can release the pressure so that will pop out. From that point, I would see about getting something welded onto the stuck bolt so that it can safely be backed out.
I guess you wouldn't have to get the EZ out to do that, lol.

I broke off a bolt in my block... My dad drilled a little hole in it just enough to fit a tiny phillips head screwdrver in very snugly... he then unscrewed it... that's it... I bought some new bolts from the
dealership and that was it... hope you have the same luck!

yeah it's hard to help you out without seeing it, but i would use a cobalt steel drill bit, and if you can figure out what size it is, let's say a 10mm (just an example) use an 8mm bit, drill out the center of the bolt, and take your time doing it. once you get most of it drilled through the bolt, try a 'fluted' extractor if the regular extractor (E-Z out) with reverse threads doesnt work. i've never had a problem with a regular one, as long as i had one that would go into the whole just half way in... but if it doesnt, get the fluted and easily tap it with a hammer unitl it get a strong grip on the hollowed out bolt... then use an open end wrench to the extractor and you should be good. Might as well try before geting the machine shop involved. It would be a VERY good idea to still have it checked. The shop can flux it and it will show if there are ANY cracks leading into the block. AND DONT PAY $50 TO RE TAP IT.. pay 4.99 for a tap a size larger than the old bolt with the corresponding cobalt bit, and take your time re-drilling the new hole. Just my .02

Are you serious?? I am so down to do that, if it works. F*@& this B16A! Which one of your bolts are you missing? Mine is the upper left one that is all by it's lonesome from the other bolts.
worst case scnerio: have a local machine shop drill it out and put healy coils in with same dimentions. Hell I had it done on a block which had broken motor mount bolt holes and its held up just fine.
