Default everybody, i finally got the tranny from salbaje

ok, here is an update
Got the tranny on Mon June 23rd
First impression when i open the box is what retard packaged this thing. Nothing but cardboard box (what was left of it) filled with peanuts and newspaper. Sadly the tranny was packed with peanut foam in every nook and cranny.

It is totally covered in that cheap *** chrome/silver spray paint. I mean, he didnt even take the time to tape anything off. The seals, the bolts, inside around the diff, inside the bellhousing... everything is just coated in this crap.

I can tell its an LSD through the diff. I stripped all the paint off and it also has the original I4D LSD stamp from honda on the bell.

Now mike told me this was a complete tranny. It has no shift fork, no drain plug, nothing but the case, bell housing, and hopefully everything that should be inside.

Another thing, that ohh so popular plate isnt there.

Bottom line, i would not trust this cat.

A long time ago, I met him in person to sell my shiftlight to him. We just talked about cars a little bit and he seemed like a good guy. Well, thanks for the heads up but I hope everything works out.

salbaje is not shady. don't slander his name by implying that he deals in stolen goods or anything like that. sounds like he procrastinated a bit in shipping this thing and it isn't in the condition the buyer expected, but Salbaje has way more positive vouches than negative. he's a good guy, and i would recommend him to anyone. if you've ever sold stuff on the net you know what a PITA it is to find a box, package stuff up and get it dropped off with the shipper when you work full time, or have a life outside of only selling stuff on the net.

and to the original seller, i highly doubt that Mike was trying to pull something malicious with you, or trying to screw you in any way.

Mike Rodriguez is a scammer!!!!

Don't believe what anyone else says.

He sent me a "perfect" working tranny in May of 2003. Only problem was that serious grind in second. Then after months of emails and calls. He sends me another one. Guess what? This ones grinds in third. Guess who is paying to install and reinstall this ****? Me. Fast forward to last month, he says he gets his unemployement check on March 23.

Quote:"My first
> > unemployment check comes on
> > 23 of March tranny will be out that day or day after"

4/19/04. No email response, no check no tranny. You have been warned. Stay clear of this piece of ****.

Scammer list-

He came highly recommended to me about 18 months ago. I bought my current crank from him... took FOREVER to get it, but it did come in the end. Packaging was, well, barely considered packaging. I had it checked out and everything was fine... bottom line: Don't bother taking a chance with this guy.

yeah, I bought from him JDM fenders... he sent or rather someone who "helped" him to send the fenders after my 1000's posts, scemmer thread on HT etc.
Fenders were packed in to small box and were bit damaged
