Well guys, there are officially traction bars that work in the H22Civics. I am positive about EG's, since that is what I drive, but if anyone with an EK in the area has an H22 as well, I would love to test it on there as well. So here is the rundown. Thanks to my buddy Philip at Intercrew, yesterday I went by and was talking about racing this season and how I wish I could find some traction bars to help lower my 60' times. We sat and talked for a while and he looks at me and tells me to bring my car around back. A little while later, wallah, I was making runs with traction bars.
Now here is my run down. The bars are made of 4130 chromoly and seem to be put together pretty well. The only thing I noticed when I first pulled them out is that the brackets for the radius arms are welded on the outside, and not on the inside. But all the welds are pretty nice and if one were to brake, I have a bigger problem than the traction bar. Everything else is of great construction.
As for the install: At first when holding it all up to the car, I didn't think it was going to clear. But I bolted everything up and the clearance is great. It clears the oil pan by at least 1.5 inches, and the brackets that bolt to the lca's even cleared the bracket for my S/T sway bars (barely, but I didn't want to run a washer so I was pretty stoked). I took it for quite a few test drives, both straight line, and full lock to lock u-turns. Nothing rubbed, everything cleared just fine, and the bars helped quite a bit. I can't wait to try them at the track with some slicks. Before I lowered the car down though, I didn't think the drivers side radius arm was going to clear the crank pulley. But sure enough I had over 2 inches of clearance.
As for a comparison, the bar looks great, performed great, and had zero clearance issues. It is very similar to the JimFab bar. The radius arms are a little thinner than the Z10 bars, but very sturdy none the less. I am pretty excited and hopefully this will help most of us out. If you guys are interested, please feel free to IM me for more questions or details.
To order some, please contact Philip at Intercrew at 214-575-6288 and tell them Brandon sent you. Or you could just IM me and tell me your interested and maybe start a group buy. I'm not sure on prices, but I believe its around $300. Even though he is a local friend and shop, I talked to him and he said he will ship so that is not an issue. Pics will be up soon, I just have to get a hold of a digi camera.

Awesome! Phillip is a great guy.
Are these ones they've made there at the shop?
I'll probably be down for a set...I want to see how harsh they are on a street car fist though
BTW...we still need to meet up bro. I just got a p72, and s200 is coming very very soon...getting my exhaust fixed etc. So hopefully my car will be running decent soon

Philip didn't design them, but I think they have only been out for a month or two now. Philip was kind enough to let me test fit his inventory on my car to help all of us out though.
Jon- Yeah, we'll meet up soon enough. I ain't doin **** this weekend so let me know.
JungleRunna02- I'm trying to find whoever I can with an H22 in an EK, but its hard to find down here. If possible, since you're the first EKh22 owner to reply, I'll see if I can ship one to you for fitment.

Jason- I'll get some pics up asap. I just don't have a camera to do so, so I'll probably have to wait till the weekend.

Well, I just got off the phone. Prices are $300 shipped, and $275 local. They are made by Totem. Even though Newman didn't have good experience with their mounts due to fitment issues, I am running this as of now and have no problems whatsoever. So once pics are up maybe some of you might be interested in getting some.
w00t w00t. That's awesome Brandon!
Can't wait to pick up a set. I'm gonna have to save me up some extra cash to get these.
Pictures bro! Pictures!

Maybe we can meet up this weekend. Two of my good friends have really nice digi cams (one of them snapped a pic of your car at ennis , remember?)
If you can't get a cam I can for sure bring one.

Ya, but everything is word of mouth with that as of now.
I'd still like to see pics of it installed.
