Any s2000 people interested in ITB's, if so, contact me, I'll start making them if enough interest. http://www.haywardperformance.com LHP
Oh shiiiiiiittttt.....What a trip, we were actually talking about calling you guys up tomorrow morning and see if you have any plans of actually producing a s2k ITB system. We are trying to custom fab a ITB system for a s2k, but before we starting hacking away, and welding, we wanted to do one quick check to see if you guys would be producing them. I will be in touch with you about these ITBs
I would definitely be interested, if we could do some research to make sure we actually gain power.
Show me a dyno and I'll show you the money
Oh and by the way, does anyone know if Toda has one in the works???

What do u assume ITB will do for the S2K?? ... i mean how much more power thru the curve?? ... more torque?? ... more HP?? ... i heard that ITB's don't do anything for torque, but can increase your HP by about 10% ... any comments??

ITB's, first thing you want from a engine is torque numbers and then the RPM.
H.P. is figured out from these, so if you don't make any more torque you are not going to make any more H.P..
So the plan with the ITB's is to make bigger torque numbers and also get the engine to make more torque in the upper rpm band which will equate to bigger H.P. . How much power to be produced will also depend on other mods done to the engine, the biggest torque producer is compression ratio, as big as your wallet can live with. I can't lie to people about power numbers so I will not state expected H.P.
This will all depend on the end use of the car and on the mods a long with the ITB's. all Itb's that I have dealt with have made very good torque numbers as long as the throttles are sized correctly, to big = lazy engine, to small =great throttle response but no upper end power. LHP

icic ... so have you ever installed or heard of anyone install ITB on S2k?? .. what are the results?? ... if you were to guess (based on your experience) how much should we expect in terms of gains throughout the power band?? (in terms of % or actual #s) ... and about how much for the ITB?? .. thanks again for the response

I have not heard of any one installing ITB's on the s2000 yet, and people have been calling me asking about them, so thats why I'm designing a system to fit the engine, I got in an engine today for this very purpose and have taken a basic look at the setup. On power gains lets look at it this way the stock throttle is 62m/m, if I were to use, say 4/ 48m/m throttles on the engine I would more than double the available throttle open area from something like 3020 square m/m to 7230 square m/m, this is airflow now, the stock manifold internal sizing is somewhere around 46m/m up inside just before it bells out into the plenum, so just there going to 48m/m would be power gains, as the port at the mating surface to the manifold is aprox 48m/m in crossection. power gains, not going to quesstimate.
Price not figured out, have'nt made any manifolds yet. Thanks:LHP

oh ic, i'm surprised no one has tried ITB for S2k yet ... would u have to upgrade anything else to get it to work?? ... ie. for turbo, u need a management computer thingy & more fuel to be pumped into your engine, ect ... in other words, would u need something like a fuel management system or something like that?? ... sorry if i'm asking rookie-like questions, the subject of ITB is very new to me and i've heard it's one of the best N/A mods u can do to an engine ... thanks again for all your insight so far

The intake system will need an aftermarket ecu to work to it's full potential and will also be able to be used with a turbo as well, but that will require a pressure plenum, which is something to think about down the road after the ITB system is up and running. LHP
