Thats a g00d deal. I need to exercise some serious restraint.

I got mine last week. For some reason, when I jack up the car, I can hear air leaking and the jack sink slowly...? Do I need to bled it or do you guys think its a faulty jack? Anyone have the bled valve that I can borrow because I think I have never gotten one.

this is exactly what mine does. I hate this POS jack.
Bleeding does nothing.

Ditto. Even if it slowly leaks, it still weighs 1/4 of what the steel jacks out there do. Jack it up and stick a jack stand under there.
Mine has worked flawlessly. (knocking on wood)

The only thing stopping me from buying one now is that i'm already taking a trip to HF this weekend for an electric impact wrench and a bunch of other goodies. My visa will burn about $250 worth

Plus, some of our body panels are so low to the ground that we'd have to pull up on the fender just to get our old jack underneath. The HF jacks have solved 2 problems for a fraction of the cost of other jacks. If someone has one that doesn't work, send it back and get a new one.

Then you have to line them up and move your car every time you want to change tires. At Summit in May, when we changed tires 9 times from the seriously unpredictable weather I wouldn't want to be shifting cars around in a downpour just so I can jack them up. Not only are you wasting gas at $4.50 (or whatever) a gallon but you're also fouling your plugs by not leaving the thing running long enough.

Go ask somebody who works in the lumber area for the ones that come with new bunks of lumber. They use them to space the bunks so you can fit the forks in. I work for a small hardware store and we throw a TON of them away.

match the online price as long as it's valid at the time. I printed out todays online price, and may go pick one up today. If you wanna bite the bullet for an awesome jack, the Brunnhoelzl Warrior is on sale at Pitstopusa.com...... My only concern is that "losing" a 500 dollar jack would be worse than "losing" a 149 dollar jack in case someone decided they liked it more than I do.

Even at $149 for the HF, I still rather pass it up and buy the AC DK20 for about $240. Even though it's not aluminum, I can still deal with the 64 lb weight; and it's much more durable, not to mention a 5 year warranty.

Well, mine came with the bleeder bolt that replaces the solid bolt right on top. When I first used it I didn't put the bleeder bolt in and it wouldn't even jack the car up. I put the bleeder bolt in and left it in (the instructions say you can) and air comes out whenever I jack up the car. It says that it will constantly bleed when needed. Haven't had any issues so far.

my friend has that jack at this shop and it's low enough profile but the front jack point under the radiator is set back a little and that jack ends up hitting the bumper before it hits the jack point. The HF one doesn't do that. It is a nice jack but I wouldn't want to be lugging it to the track.

it also spurts oil, and will leak oil if you put it on its side or upside down. Keep that in mind when you load it in the car for the track.

Just put them under the tires... its not my fault you're too lazy just to push the car up on them.

Sorry this is frustrating to me and its probably an overreaction but ... guys complaining that they lift a 2k+ lbs. car using one of the fingers and the pad breaks, guys saying they store it upside down and it leaks. That's not quality control issues - its misuse of product. If it needs to be bled, they send a bleed screw with it. I have had great use out of mine and have seen a ton of them in the paddocks at races over the last year, not one of them was in a trash can.

nice... you'll need them with your arrrrr
