need help removing...
So as some of you may know me and my buddy are replacing the engine in my bros car...so we got the old block out and there is what I think is that clutch housing still attached...if anyone can help us w/getting that off that would be great...thanks!

looks like it indeed. I havent messed with autos but i remember reading somewhere that those things can be welded on? someone correct me if im wrong.

yeah, it's as easy as taking off bolts. just like manual clutch, there should be bolts you can take off. then behind it, there should be a thin plate flywheel. much thinner than manual flywheels.

yeap torque converter for an automatic
its is attached by screws to the flywheel or
(you could do the same way as you think of the block, bang it out)

you dont need a new one if you are converting to 5 sp..

yeap i think a huge whole in the block, crank is chewed to ****, and broken pistons and rods means a POS block that needed to be pounded to **** when it came out 
anyway we already got a new one together waiting to go in. thx for the replys guys, ill give it a shot tonight.
