Installed header on b16; now have low rpm throttle hesitation.
I installed an exhaust header on my 2000 b16, and now I have an intermittent hesitation in throttle response. It happens at low rpms, and initially only happened in first gear. Today it happened all the way through third, and then mysteriously went away. It is a seriously noticeable lag from 1k to 2.5~3K.
The only other thing I changed was an O2 sensor, and I am swapping the old one back in to see if the new one is bad. Just wanted to know if anyone else had experienced anything like this.
Can't tell from the chk engn light b/c I have a problem with my evaporative system that leaves it on all the time... Thanks for the help.

did you buy the sensor new or did you buy it used... I think there is a difference between the obd1 and obd2 02 sensors... I might be wrong, its something my little brother mentioned one day.
Yeah, I knew the header wouldn't cause hesitation. I guess I was just wondering if the O2 sensor code would retard the timing (or "limp mode") if it were bad.
I meant the chkeng light is always on. "Evaporative system pressure to high" code. Thanks.
