Default AN-R headers......... all comment and thoughs welcomed

Well yes I have done search. I'm a search JuNKiE yo. But older information in the archives can only be read and interpeted so many times befor you start to think if it's even really accurate anymore.

So I would like to start out on a fresh clean post and would like eveyone to contribute their honest opinion on their headers. I mean all of their headers from the D-series, B-series to the H-series.

Some info i'm looking for are:
*exspected hp & tq gains
*what you think of the degsines
*quaility of their construction and welds (for those who have seen it up close)
*any thing else.

Some of the prelude guys here have them.

They say it's a pretty serious header. From all the pictures it looks pretty well made. For the H22 i've heard nothing but praise.

I've really never heard of anyone running them on b-series engines.

I've seen one up close on display for an H22, looks very well made. I want one for my new project motor, but can't seem to get the JUN header sold for the right price... I think there was someone on here that claimed +15 hp from the header, in combination with all the other mods on the car. So bottom line MAYBE a 15% increase over stock mani. I'd like to see some real before and after dynos on the header though.. not an LSV vs. B18C5 like so many plots use.

Ive had the ANR header on my dc2 for about 5 months now.

The header added about 7 horsepower and 6 ftlbs of torqe to my setup
I have a b20 vtec- gsr head, endyn mid na pistons eagle rods, ctr cams,
and anr header.

I had to modify the radiator support for a half radiator.

The welds of the header are pretty good, I had to add a custom mount to the back of the block, and a bar across the top primaries.

The header is great, I also have a flex pipe.
If somebody wants to post some pics of them for my it would be great

Yeah it gained about 7 horsepower and 5 lbs more than my jdm itr header
all I did was adjust the fuel pressure a little bit

they are really really nice headers, but i would rather not spend the 900 bux or whatever, adn thats why im skimping and building my own even though my motor deserves these.

Free shipping on the headers now?!!!!? I'm really wanting to get one now, just one ?, what's the difference between the street collector and merge collector? Does one just dump after the secondaries and the other goes to an actual collector that mounts to an exhaust?

if you dont get them coated or atleast painted, they start looking pretty horrible. either way i wouldnt expect this header to last.

Looks good. WOW you made 7-8 more whp over the JDM ITR 4-1 header.. now thats impressive.

I spoke with one of the AN-R people here on h-t and he said that they normally reccomend for most mild ot wild street applications to use the street collector vs. the full race merge. He said something about if your motor making less than 220whp / 145tq it wouldn't really benfit you to get the race collector.

I personally was thinking about getting the other weird looking one because i have and EF and it's mainly for clearance issuse that i have seen with ALL other 4-1 headers. I was thinking about getting it ceramic coated & Hot jet coating also.

can any one host more pix so that all of their headers can be seen? I don't now how to host pix...

did you have to modify the core support to get that in you dc2?
A friend just put one in his EK and had to remove the ac condenser mounts and finesse the core support a little

They look like a nice piece and for less than $500 is a good deal

Yeah I had to custom weld a tab on the bottom of my core support , because the half radiator is smaller. The radiator sits a little lower than dc2, also had to make a bracket for top of radiator

Does anyone have problems with the AN-R hanging too low?
