Why not to buy anything from GUDE.
I'm posting this on the tech forum because it gets more traffic than the Accords.
I've been doing a build-up of an F22B2 engine over the last year; trying to use the best high performance parts available for this engine. One of the parts I installed was a GUDE throttle body. During the installation the mechanic found that the TB cams had been installed incorrectly, and they had to reposition them and recalibrate the TPS. I thought that would be the end of my problems (after I had to threaten to revoke my CC to get the core charge back).
The story pics up a few months down the road. I've just rebuilt the engine; Portflow head, Wiseco 11:1 pistons, Crower billet rods, all the goodies. I dropped a cylinder with 800 miles on the new engine
. After tearing down the engine and finding a damaged head and piston, my mechanic informs me that the cause of all my troubles was that GUDE TB. They had not loctited or peened the threads on the throttle plate bolts, and one of them had come loose and destroyed the first available cylinder. I contacted GUDE, but got the same old "It's not our problem" line that these ******** are famous for.
DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM GUDE - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

wow...thats like the 5th horror story ive heard about how bad the service is and quality of gude and their parts...i was thinking of gettin their head package because the price isnt that bad but i think i'll take my money and business elsewhere
I never had problems with Gude in the past. That's too bad you've had some bad workmanship. I talk to Bill, and he seems like a straight up guy.
