Default Some New Pictures of My ITR Header

The following is my latest version of the ITR header. I was able to delete one bend from tube #3 and increase the bend radius of 4 others, since bigger bend radii promote better flow characteristics. Ground clearance was also improved by about 1/4", but I don't feel that it can be any better or else the #2 and #3 tubes will be touching the oil pan. Plus, like I said before, there's only so much room between the oil pan sump and the tranny/block bracket to accommodate 4 large primary tubes.

I test fitted these primaries on a 92-95 Civic 4dr with a B18 swap and I was able to install them (although they were tight going in) without removing the A/C fan or clutch cylinder which was required for my last version. And no mods are required to the tranny/block support as was the case in the previous versions.

The small bolt (second bolt hole from the right) will need to be removed for clearance of the 3/4 merge.

pics delete

Sorry for not using a high tech camera for these pictures.

Hey Dave, I was wondering if in fact this header will bolt up to a stock ITR? Hooked up to a custom cat of course. Also, would you recommend your header even if only doing i/h/e? On a stock ITR will a V-AFC help the #'s any? Sorry for all the questions but I have a stock ITR and I only want to do i/h/e. I want the best curve possible so I figured why not get the best.

Thanks Dave

I'm wondering the same. Also, have you come up with any kind of pricing yet on the new header? Around a grand I'm guessing like all the other high-end headers?

Good packaging Dave. Will the new header incorporate the "X-tube" secondaries seen in another thread, or are they still strictly experimental and/or optional? The impression I had from reading the other thread was that the secondaries performed well in comparison to your traditional versions. Either way, keep up the excellent work.

Testing isn't completed on the Xover secondaries. Not sure if the folks would be willing to pay for the extra labor to build these secondaries for a street application. There are an additional 6 butt welds and the Xover weld plus all that fit up work.

Looks good, Dave. Like I told you before, I'll be purchasing one to match the exhaust sometime in the next decade .

Hi Dave,

I have several questions:
1. Will your new ITR header clear/fit in conjunction with a Fluidyne Radiator and stock cooling fans?
2. How does your full system (header, cat, and muffler) compare in performance with that of a full JDM ( 2 1/2" collector) Mugen set-up?
3. Do you guarantee any minimum amount of perfomance gains?
4. How long from the receipt of order would it take to get a complete system?
5. How much is your complete system?
6. Can you post pictures of your exhaust (muffler) system?
7. How does it compare as far as noise to the Mugen twin loop?

Sorry for all of the questions, but I am very interested. Thanks.

I guess it will not fit if someone has a bigger than stock oil pan? Like the Moroso.
Oh well, can't make 'am all happy.

1. Don't know, but I'll get you a dimension of how far the ubes stick out from the manifold gasket surface.
2. I haven't done a direct comparison between the 2, but the testing I've done or that I've seen of my 4-2-1 against the Mugen or DC JDM, my has a better torque curve.
3. As for the cat back, I think my system flows better than the Mugen TL since the tubing is a full 2-1/2" OD from B pie flange to tip, where the Mugen is at (2) different sizes which are both smaller, plus my system doesn't have the 2 tight radius bends like the TL, but again no direct comparison has been made. My old 2-1/2" system was on a car that supported over 230 whp.
4. The new header will be built from 100% stainless steel, including the flanges. The flanges take about 4 weeks to get from the CNC shop and then I plan to do a run of at least 10 ITR headers which should take 6-7 weeks. I'm presently getting the cat back tubing mandrel bent and then will need to get all the resonators custom built ( I think this could be done in the same period of time). I'm going to try something different on the above header for the secondaries in order to simplify the first section of the cat back system. I hope to test this set up on the 14th.
5. I haven't finalized the price on the new 100% stainless ITR header since I have to wait for the results from the 14th for teh final design. What I can tell you is my new H22 100% stainless header that will go into production within a couple of weeks came in at $1175. IF the ITR header came in at that price that would only be a $200 difference from my current ceramic coated mild steel header.
6. Custom resonators: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=450813
Installed system: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=469853, the muffler used in this system will be ceramic coated silver or painted black. I'm looking into having it built out of polished stainless steel.
My header, 93506 cat and cat back audio clip: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=519681, If the system is too quiet you could always remove the smaller resonator and replace it with a section of 2-1/2" tubing.
7. Again, no direct comparison just the sound clip.

Sorry for not answering these before.
