Default New SMSP Cat Back

Well due to some problems with tooling at the benders I had to build this one the old fashion way......out of individual mandrel bends.

This system was built for my ITR header, 93506 Carsound Cat, the (2) new style light weight resonators and a 6" round Magnaflow for the rear muffler.

The tip is only 2-3/4"

This one painted black for the sleeper look.

Tubing over the axle stays straight prior to going into the muffler, providing less chance of interference on lower vehicles or those using large rear sway bars.

Short Resonator

Long Resonator

Good stuff David
Will we see any of these and/or other SMSP stuff at the Expo?

That looks great, I cannot wait to see how it sounds!!

So if we ordered one at the Expo, approximately how long would it take to build?

Looks like the tip hangs a little close to the bumper. I guess we could fix this with new hangers?

this was uncalled for, you are entitled to your opinion but this is not the appropriate place to express it

Idle seems quieter than the old system. It's hard to tell under power because the old system used a CompTech CAI which cut down intake noise. I built this intake for Expo and it is much louder.

Here's another pic of the tip, there's about 3/4" between the top of the tubing and the bumper.

Very nice.

Would it be possible to get this system without the tip, say with a short piece of 2.5" pipe instead?

This probably means it doesn't have a shiny enough or big enough tip.

This system looks great Dave. My wife is coming with me to the Expo so I am sure she will be having "a word with you" since this is my latest endeavor is to find an exhaust i like. She is pretty suportive but I have a forutne in my car so she might just give you a piece of her mind

I will pick your Brain Saturday sometime (Friday time permitting). I have heard the old system on a GSR that races with us in GA. I want somethng a little quieter and a personal tweak or 2.

Good work!
